I actually searched for the name and found out that Katia by origin is a slavic name. Katia means 'Pure'. Pure of heart, pure of mind and pure of soul. Which I hope you are.

My lab partner's name is Katia. Its pronounced Kay Sha. I dont know how you are going to say it though. At first I thought her name was Ka Tee ah... So I dont know. It will be one of those names that is always pronounced wrong for the rest of her life.
