I'm 21 wks. preg and I still find myself sleeping on my stomach @ times but now that I'm actually starting to show and becoming rounder it's become a little uncomfortable. Try to sleep on your side though.....it's better for your baby.
Use a pillow between your legs if it makes your more comfortable.
Congratulations

Hi there honey. Congratualtions on your pregnancy! I wanted to tell you that nature will let you know when it is time to stop sleeping on your tummy. Besides that if you never stopped it would not hurt the baby! Mother nature takes better care of babies than that! You will know when to stop sleeping on your tummy because it will become so uncomfortable that you will just not be able to fall asleep that way any more. At some point it will start to feel like you are trying to lie down on a bowling ball! It is just not comfortable anymore. Still I want you to know that there is no position that you could naturally get into that could hurt your baby. Your body is designed to protect that little life and it is not going to let you hurt it by something as simple as the way you lie down.
Stop worrying and enjoy this magical time in your life! I hope you are eating right and getting plenty of rest.
Take care of yourself and if there is anything else you would like to know feel free to ask me. I will always write back to you.
Love and Blessings
Lady T~

I was told when I went in first time to see the doctor I was 10 weeks then. He told me to try to break myself of sleeping on my stomach or my back. He said the the right and left side are the best sides to sleep on. He said that the stomach isn't good at all and by the time I reach 20 weeks I shouldn't be doing it at all.

I used to sleep on my stomach too. I stopped because after a while it felt like I was laying on a little ball, and I didnt want to hurt the baby, I believe it was about 3-4 months when I had to stop...I think it is just as uncomfortable for you as it is for the baby, you'll know when you feel it.

I stopped when it became uncomfortable, as well as sleeping on my back. Now 34 weeks pregnant I can only sleep on either of my sides.. So sleep the way you feel the most comfortable because soon you'll be restricted to two positions. Good Luck!!

As a mother of three healthy children I can tell you that when your body grows to a certain size you will automatically start to sleep in the most comfortable position. No matter what position you sleep in right now, you will not harm the baby...he/she is protected inside you by the amniotic fluids. They serve so many purposes, including being a barrier and cushion.

I was told that you can't really sleep on your stomach past 16 weeks. You should probably try now to start sleeping on your side. Eventually, you won't be able to sleep on your tummy at all.

i'm about an same, 14/15 weeks, and that i lay on my abdomen plenty. I attempt to position 0.5 on my abdomen & 0.5 on my area so i'll interrupt myself of the habit..isn't able to position on your abdomen always, it will get truly uncomfortable!

You "sleeps" on your stomach? Would have thought this was a typo, but you typed it twice. You don't SLEEPS, you SLEEP. It's not plural. You wouldn't say, "Feets, don't fail me now."

Maybe you would...
