Actually, it is very common. Some people miss the pill, others they just don't work. I was cosieved when my mom was on the pill, and so were three of my cousins. =D

I am 20 weeks pregnant, and was on the pill. I never missed a day, and took it every morning with only about an hour in off at times. Mine was not a pill you have to take at the exact time everyday. I was on alesse 28, a low dose, so I wonder if that had something to do with it. I have been on the pill since I was 17, and never have gotten pregnant before. I am 27 now and while we were upset at first. I am so happy that the pill failed now!!! I cannot wait to meet my son and neither can his daddy!!

Yes..I got pregnant on the pill and so did one of my friends. It's not always just missing pills. Some pills require being taken at the exact same time of day also. I can't remember if it is the mini pills or the other way around. In my case I think I missed pills...with my friend it was that she didn't take them at the same time every day because she didn't realize it had to be so exact

The only 100% for sure way not to get pregnant is to practice not having sex. The pill, if taken correctly is 99% effective, but if you miss a pill,99% chance of getting prego. Get it now. You play, you pay. That's it. I didn't even miss a pill and still got prego and so did my mom. Get it now. Good luck in your ventures. I mean well, really.

Yes-three times. I guess it was because I missed pills, but I would only forget like one day-it's not like I was in the habit of missing pills-for the most part, I took my pill every day.

Yes, it happens. The pill is only about 70% effective against getting pregnant. Use the pill in combination with other methods (eg, condoms) in order to reduce the possibility of getting pregnant. The only way to guarantee not getting pregnant is to abstain.

After my first son I took my pill regularly. Same time every day and everything that was advised. And still ended up getting pregnant. This is apparently something very common. Due to complcations I did not carry that baby, but had a healthy one later on.
