My kids have become very picky eaters recently, every night i try and get them to eat their turkey twizzlers, chicken nuggets, walls balls, waffles, smiley faces etc etc, but will they eat it? Will they hell, all i hear from them is - I want vegetables, I want salad, please can we have some baked fish? You know who I blame for this, Jamie bloody Oliver, my kids were doing just fine before he came along with his silly ideas, they even asked me if they could have fruit salad insteaed of skittles the other day????? I just dont understand it

My 4 month old son spits (or even vomits - I'm not sure what exactly that is) a lot. During evening hours he does that every time he's prompted to burp. Some of such spiting are forceful and go in series of 3-4. Could that be because I was praising him ("good boy") since birth every time he'd have a successful burp, so now he tries too hard letting not only the air out but breast milk as well?

My 7 year old daughter is very shy. She has always had difficulty making new friends, and sometimes gets picked on by others.

She goes to classes in ballet, modern and jazz, and she has just got into the competition team. She loves dancing, but is the youngest in the classes, as she is a few grades ahead of where she should be at her age. She loves the dancing, but finds it hard because no one talks to her. Everyone else is older, and knows each other, but she doesn't know anyone there. The fact that she is shy is also really holding her back. She just gets ignored.

I know what it is like to be shy, as I was just the same at school. I know how shyness affected me, and I wish I could go back and do it again with confidence this time. Shyness can be really crippling, and I can see it happening to my daughter. She is a sweet natured, loving girl who never has a bad word to say about anyone. She's pretty, smart and talented. Can anyone suggest anything?

My wife and I have recently taken custody of a 12 year old girl whose mother passed away from cancer. It has only been 2 weeks since the death. Should we start to "lay down the law" with her now. Or should we ease into the rules. She is a good kid but she is also a 12 year old kid ('nuff said there). We have been having a hard time getting her to do the small things that we have asked her, such as taking care of HER cat and picking up after herself. Considering that she has spent the last year more or less locked inside of a 2 bedroom flat playing nursemaid to her mother, should we be stricter or back off a bit. It is a tough call, any advise would be helpful. (Before we get going FAQ's, 1. Yes she is in Therapy, 2. She will be starting school again next week after a years absence, 3. Her suviving family members are not decent enough to care for her (no father) and 4. She is bi-racial b/w and we are both white)
