I think alot of the reason they grow faster during pregnancy is that the woman is taking prenatals and the vitamins are improving her mineral intake. I've heard of several people (men and women) that take a prenatal as a regular vitamin because its that much better for them. I've been taking them for a few months in preparation for a baby and I've already noticed mine growing, especially my nails.

I don't think it is the pregnancy that does it, i believe that it is prenatal vitamines. So I was told when I asked why my hair seemed to be growing faster.

Yes, my hair grew twice as fast, and I was clipping my nails CONSTANTLY when I was pregnant... You body changes alot when your pregnant...
