PLEASE don't choose a "stripper" name like Amber or Jade or something... no offence to anyone with those names, but they just show no beauty or originality.

Remember that your girls are going to have their names for life! Will you still love the name "Shanayah" (as an example) when she's 30? More importantly, will your daughter be happy with it?

It also depends what your preferences are. Do you like names like Amber? Names like Shanayah? Traditional names like Mary or Sue? Or different names like Astrid? (which is my name)

The best advice I can give you is to Google a few baby name websites. My name means strength and beauty, which is a nice meaning. The baby naming websites will surely help you choose. What's your heritage? Maybe you'd like to choose a name from your heritage? (Mine is Danish, my parents fittingly chose Astrid which is Old Norse)

Good luck! :)

Astrid

I wanna give you a piece of advice about the twins. While choosing names, better idea is to think of different names, not something like Jennifer and Jenna or Kateline and Katerine. The girls will look alike and they don't have to be more confused by having almost alike names. They are two diferent people,no matter they are twins. When they are young,it's ok to dress them alike but after they go to school, you better don't dress them alike so that they will get used to the idea that they are not a one person. And about the names,I will tell you some of my favourite American names but you better choose a name YOU like, not the names people here like.I just give some ideas:
Amber, Jillian, Samanta, Elizabeth, Rachel, Phoebe, Emma, Sandra, Grace, Stacy, Isabel, Emily, Wendy, Angelina, Kelly, Vanessa, Briana, Melanie, Diana

These are the names I like ... Shania, Saskia, Caitlin, Kitty, Tilly, Sophia, Liana, Sienna, Aby, Alyssa (Sounds like "A Lisa")

I also love the name Renee for a girl, my advice is don't do rhyming names for the girls, at the end of the day they are individuals.

I had a little boy though, and I called him Cole
Anyway, I hope this helps

Enjoy
x

Have you ever seen the painting "Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose" by John Singer Sargent? It's of adorable twin girls in a garden lighting lanterns. So what about Lily and Rose?

Isabella and Hayley
Hannah and Kaitlyn (cate-lynne)
Charlotte and Maddison

Please stay away from names that rhyme like jasmine and Yasmine!! If you want your girls to have similar names maybe give them a name that has the same meanings or origin...

Lilly and Rose (both flowers...obviously)
Ayanna (Kiswahili), Fluer (french) both meaning flower or Kalei (hawaiian) meaning flower wreathe, the beloved
Kallista (Greek) and Shayna (Yiddish) meaning beautiful.
Jade and Ruby both percious stones....Etc etc
Hope this helps you a bit...If not check out

Good luck with the twins!!

I always thought Miranda and Cassandra or Alexandra would be pretty for twin girls. That way they have rhyming full names (I know many people hate this, but bear with me) and then their nicknames are different:

Randi or Randa or Mira or Miri
Cassie or Sandy or Sandra
Alex or Alexie or Alexa

I would probably go with Miranda and Alexandra and do Randi and Alex myself.

Twins should have their own names. I like to name children after a family member, or someone special to you. Why not pick out names you like, and forget the twins part. Good luck with picking out names.
