Labor and delivery with my first baby was terrible. I was in labor for a really long time, and pushed for about five hours before the doctor had to use the forceps. I had to have oxygen, and blood transfusion, and I hemorrhaged.

I am a healthy female with no health complications, got pregnant at a healthy weight, and eat healthy foods. I'm also still active and exercise frequently.

I just want to know if anyone went through something like that their first time to deliver a baby, and went on to have an easier labor the second time... I'm horrified. :(

I'd like to stop breastfeeding and I've know that I should be feeding him till at least 2 years either bottlemilk or breastmilk. So what are the best way to make him like to bottle feeding? Thank you.

so i am a couple weeks pregnant, and i almost got the guts up to tell my bf [babies daddy] but when i brought up the subject, he started saying how he doesnt want kids till he is like 30, and that if i ever got pregnant that there is no way we would have it, and how it would ruin our lifes and all this stuff, and how pissed he would be if i got pregnant. i got way to scared to tell him. i care for him alot, and i dont want to lose him. but i told him that if i ever got pregnant that i would not be able to have an abortion, so he knew. but ya i dont know what to do...

My wife is about 9.5 days late. We had sex 2 times this month (I work irregular hrs) I wore a condom with spermicidal lubricant and did not ejaculate in her. She has taken name brand home pregnancy tests on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th days of her missed period. (All negative) A couple of days before her period was due her sister had a pretty serious medical scare and yesterday she found out that her parents are having some SEVERE financial problems. She keeps telling me she isn't pregnant. My question is, will the stress brought on by her family situation and the hoildays cause her to this late or longer, or is she more than likely pregnant?

I am 38 weeks pregnant and having sharp cramping in lower abdominal area that tenses up my stomache but also feels like bub is pressing really hard on me and making my lower half tense feeling. It sorta comes and goes. I know to time it but wanted to know what your opinions are. I also have great pressure in my vagina and like stabbing pains. When i get the "contractions" it feels like bub is moving a fair bit. Is this normal or is it labour?

I personally think that abortion is very horrible in the case that it is a perfectly healthy baby that someone just does not want to be responsible for. Mind you, however, that if you know that a chid is going to be a "vegetable" so to say, I think that abortion may be the right thing to do, I'm not saying if every child has a slight defect get rid of them. I think that the life of pain they will have to live is much worse than that one moment of pain.

How does everyone else feel about abortion?

My son is 22 months old and can only say about 20 words. He knows what things are and when you ask him to get something or do something he can. When I asked his doctor about it he said that he needs to see a speech therapist. I am just curious if all of that is really nessasary. He can put like 5 words together but can't make complete sentences. I am just not sure what to do. He is a very active child and is very friendly. The doctor says that ha has all of his physical skills down. He can throw a ball and climb stairs and all of that. Please give me your opinions.
