I'm pro-choice. I personally wouldn't have an abortion because that is just how I feel. However, I know that this may be the only alternative for some and its their choice! It really bothers me when people so easily say "there's always adoption." when I don't even think they realize how hard the adoption process is for both parties, the adopting parents and for the mother giving up her child.
First they need the father of the child's permission to give up the child (because once its born its no longer just her decision). Then if that father wants to keep the child, she is still obligated finacially until there is a stepparent willing to adopt and take over that responsibility.
Then there is adopting parents that have to spend thousands of dollars on lawyers, courts, home studies..ect. to adopt when all that money could be easily spent on the child they are adopting. If they made adoption a little more affordable and less complicated maybe their would be less abortions and more adoptions.
Until then, I'm all for the woman deciding what she is mentally and physically capable of handling.

I feel the same way. In exception to rape cases/mother's health is at risk.
I know it's the "mother's body", but it's a baby's LIFE.
People really need to be less careless about these things. People need to deal with the consequences of their actions. And most people who have an abortion probably live with guilt for the rest of their lives...really not worth it. Just live and let live. And I also agree in the case of "vegetables"--it may be the right thing to do. For example, if a child is severely disformed.
To the above post:
"i think its wrong y r u killing ur unborn child? let them have a life if u wont give it to them, get them adopted maybe then they can have a better life."
...the asker did not say she was planning an abortion. Did you even read the question? She is just asking for opinion.

I am against abortion under any circumstance. As for rape cases, a baby is a baby-there is always adoption. If the baby is going to be a vegatable/serious deadly health problems-you NEVER know ANYTHING forsure till the baby is here. Besides, God blesses us with miracles in different forms. Abortion is not the answer.

I think that all pro-life advocates who condone abortion under specific circumstances are a bunch of hypocrites. If you consider an embryo a human being then shouldn't his/her life be just as important regardless if he/she is a product a rape, destined to be a vegetable or puts the mother's life in danger?
An embryo is NOT a human being. If he/she was human then pro-lifers wouldn't condone abortion under ANY circumstances.

cruel. If you know that having sex, even protected ones, can risk the chances of the girl getting pregnant, and yet the couple knows that they do not one to have a child, then don't do it in the first place cos if the couple is just going to opt for abortion, its simply too sadistic of them to do so as it seems that they think a foetus' life isn't important. Every life counts, kay?!?!!

I think it all depends on what you believe and what you feel is right....everyone has a different choice or a different answer on this subject....well actually on every subject.....i believe and abortion is alright in certain circumstance but i disagree when people use it as a form of birth control and every time they get preganant they get rid of it......

Brush away all the pro-death sugar and abortion is still murder. You will not escape this reality in your life time. Go ahead and kill your child, those memories will plague you for the rest of your life. This fact is of course omitted in the pro-death mantra.

revoltingly disgusting. it's unfair to the baby not to be given a chance to live. when i read an article in the newspaper about an abortion clinic in denmark where they abort babies 8months into pregnancy, i got sooo angry. it's just like murder.

I really wish people would stop asking this question. Who cares what other people think on this issue. It only matters how you feel about it. I'm not trying to be rude, but this question is on here many times. The only reason some put it on here is to get tempers up.

i feel that abortion is not right because they are killing a human being. If you don't want your kids there are plenty of people who want, and need children. even if they can't have any
