My gay son actually would like to have a child some day. He would be a wonderful father as he is a wonderful uncle to my other son's child. I would feel blessed, just as I have when my oldest son has had his children.

I'd suggest they adopt instead of surrogacy and in vitro due to the abundance of children in orphanages and foster homes. I'd also start giggling and shopping for the fun stuff I would get to buy as a new grammy. And I'd probably give knitting another go just to say I'd made my new grandbaby a blankie but judging from my previous attempts at knitting that might be a lost cause. : )

I'd support them and sign up for babysitting privileges. They want to have a family like anyone else. Of course I would support them. It would be awesome to watch my son or daughter become a parent. Plus, the extra added bonus of spoiling the grandkid rotten, then giving them back to their parent is the goal of every prospective grandparent.

Thats fantastic! I would be jumping for joy! A lot of parents with gay children often feel they may get to miss out on the experience of being a grandparent but it looks like you wont! :-)

I would get involved. See what they are planning, talk to them about the hardships and joys of parenting. Tell them that they will have hard times coming as a gay parent, but you will always be there to support them, and advise them when needed and ofcource to baby sit.

i would feel proud that i am to become a grandparent and happy in the knowledge that whether gay or straight love holds no boundaries and they would make great parents given the right support as all parents need

I would feel happy. Of course if they were in an unstable relationship , I would add my two cents in--as I would if it my son/daughter was heterosexual--but if they were perfectly fine and stable I'd be so excited. What mother doesn't want to be a grandma!?!

It is nice that they want a family via procreation. But there are too many kids out there that need to have a family. Adoption is the way to go. Congrats
