She prescribed me with folic acid but that was about all there is to it and told me to only come see her again after I hit the three months mark. Is this normal? Does it really mean that there is nothing a woman can do and just wait another 6 weeks without checkups or ultrasounds? I am confused as this is my first time. I'm 25. Help.

We are currently using Myconil drops for the gas, which help. However when she starts crying with colic the gas just builds back up!

I called the doctor already and he said to try a different formula but until we can get that formula in any suggestions?

Is it possible for a 6month old baby to suddenly develope colic?
For a while now about 3pm she becomes ratty & uncomfortable, cries alot & can't get settled. This stops about 6pm. She has never had this problem before & has never suffered with colic as a newborn.

i have a 7 month old daughtere that has very rarely started to cry, latley she is crying all the time, and they are fits of crying. she has no teeth yet, could her crying be her gums starting to cry or could it be something else?

Even during my sleep. For example, When the telephone rings, when someone calls me, when I drope something and those little things. I was always like that, but since i am pregnant I notice that I do it more. I just want to know if i am harming the baby. I am not stressed but very happy that I am pregnant. I had a miscarraige. ( Maybe that 's the reason) I don't know why i do so, get scared for anything. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS?

For the past 2 days It's been a struggle to give my 6month baby a bottle but she wants to eat her solid food. She cries because she is hungry & when I try to give her a bottle she cries harder & wont drink although she will open her mouth to take a spoonful of food. She has not had any milk for 15hours now but she has had 2 meals of solids.
She does not sleep through the night but last night before bed I tried to give her bottle which she wouldn't take but slept a full 12 hours without waking. I'm not sure whether to take her to the doctors because I don't want to waste their time if she is eating her solids. She does not seem herself because she is crying alot & sleeping alot. Can anyone advise me on the best thing to do?

Ok so I am now 7 weeks w/ my 3rd. And for the past 7 or 8 days have had terriable heartburn and vommiting. And accordining to my OB I am border line "too thin" and he did not want to see a single pound lost. So this week sice I can't keep a d*mn thing down I did not go to the gym and have been trying to drink my hubbys card drinks that are loaded w/ carlories fat vitamins etc. (Ob said they were safe to drink when preg. with my son) Anyway I somehow lost 10 lbs & have to see my OB Friday morning & I know he is going to harp on the weight, so I am dreading the appt. Should I call tommorow & talk to the nurse or just explain to him Friday. I am pretty nervious I know he is going to be mad, so any advice is welcome, Thanks in advance

Here's a story...
This guy I know is my best friend.
I love him.
He loves me.
Of course, the nice story doesn't end there.
I'm only 14- my parents said I could date this specific guy when I was 15. (Just cause he's really a great guy- my parents agree and have met him several times)That happens in 5 months.
The problem is that I'm not sure my parents will really let us "date" when I'm 15. (I think that includes being able to go to movies without my brother inbetween, holding hands, kissing sometimes (not constantly)... Occasional dinner...etc.)
Is that too much to ask at this age?
The guy is 16, super respectful, and has shown it by his patience... He's already been waiting to be able to date me for about a year and 2 months. I've known him for like a year and a half.
What do you think is appropriate?

(A little about me: I'm 14- But don't let numbers fool you- I'm Sophmore in Algebra 2, top of my class. I'm extremely mature and have so far have a good relationship with my parents.)

It appears as though this female friend of mine is saying that I may have gotten her pregnant. we had sex on 21 Nov and she claims her missed period is supposed to be around the 26th or 27th (but she doesnt know very well either). so if she is pregnant right now, can a test be done to pinpoint the date of coneception? i had protected sex and did not include ejaculation at all...i want to be able to say "hey the test says you conceived on this date and we had sex on the 21st..."

I am on birth control pills but only for 5 weeks now i had unprotected sex 1 week after starting the pills i had what you may call a period last week it was a small gush of blood that lasted about an hour and then it was over now i feel like im getting the flu i have achy muscles headaches feel like im going to throw up but do not a mix of diarrhea or constipation lower left stomach pain like period cramps almost and i am extremely tired i sleep like 14 hours a day usually only 7 my boobs are really sore in the morning then they are fine all day i also have a loss of appetite i feel sick if i eat could someone please give me any reasons for all this

I thought I had my next baby name all picked out. I wanted Jordyn Mackenzie-Lynn Bloom for a girl and Jackson Lawrence Bloom for a boy. We have a son named Gabriel Alexander Bloom. If we had another boy the names we decided on are family names, it we were to have a girl these are just names that I really liked, but Lynn is for a friend.
Now I am not so sure for the girl's name. I like the names Astra, Astrid and Evelyn. my old neighbor named her first daughter Evelyn and I have loved it ever since, she went on to have a Marlon and then an Arianna. 3 babies in just under 3 years. I don't think I could do it myself. Anyway, back to the baby names.
I just don't want to have a dozen little Madison's running when I call my child on the playground. I don't want a popular name, but I don't want something that will be too hard to pronounce for the child.

This is my son's first christmas, and he is only 4 months, so it's not an issue yet. I told my mom that I am not going to tell my son about santa. She was appalled, and very upset. Also I don't want my son being the one to tell other kids the truth about santa, so I don't know what to do. I know Santa is a special thing about christmas, but that is not what the holiday is all about. I am not super religious, but I want him to know the real meaning of christmas. I am having my first baby in April. I know it is a girl and she is kicking really good. I feel almost as though I am in a fog though. The pregnancy feels very real to me but the birth and after seems like a dream. I am 20 and mature, I think anyways, but when I picture holding the baby for the first time it's almost like I am seeing a child holding a child or something.
