When I went to my doctor to get a check up and talk about pregnancy, one of the first things she mentioned was having a healthy weight. She told me it played an important part since being overweight can lead to other problems like diabetes and underweight can lead to no ovulation occuring at all. She also said that having a little extra weight can be a good thing.

I've heard of it. If you are underweight, your body won't ovulate. No egg, no baby. A lot of gymnasts have amenorrhea (absence of menstration) because they are underweight. You will want to put some weight on anyway to counterbalance the morning sickness for when it does happen.

Peanut butter Milk Shakes!! Best way to put on some pounds.

Being extremely underweight or extremely overweight can prevent you from having a baby.

Being underweight will generally stop your periods, and therefore stop ovulation.
