It appears as though this female friend of mine is saying that I may have gotten her pregnant. we had sex on 21 Nov and she claims her missed period is supposed to be around the 26th or 27th (but she doesnt know very well either). so if she is pregnant right now, can a test be done to pinpoint the date of coneception? i had protected sex and did not include ejaculation at all...i want to be able to say "hey the test says you conceived on this date and we had sex on the 21st..."

Well, I don't mean to be judgemental, but these things wouldn't happen if you'd...been...more careful. But it sounds like you were. If her periods are not super regular (like the cycle length varies by month [e.g., 28 days, 31 days, 29 days, etc.]), it's only the 28th, and she probably isn't (by you at least). Plus, ovulation is right in the middle of the cycle, which would put her most fertile days at about the 12 or so, depending on her cycle. She may be stressing out, which could cause her hormones to go all out of whack, which could be causing the late period. I wouldn't worry about it too much. A pregnancy test would work (I think the EPT test said that you could take it as soon as 2 days after your missed period [or hers, in this case!]), but I'm not positive about how soon for sure.
I don't know your friend, but she may be saying this for attention (say you were in a fight, and she wanted to get back at you, so she said she was late, even if she isn't too regular in the first place). It may sound far fetched, but it happens.
Hope this helps.

Oh, and an ultrasound will only show how developed the embryo/fetus is; it may be possible to work backwards based on how developed the embryo/fetus is to calculate the date of conception.

Although the outcome is slim you could still get a women pregnant while using a condom. I did twice, (with the same man of course) Also there is something called precum. When a guy gets aroused, he produces a fluid called pre-ejaculate ("pre-***"), which can contain sperm - particularly if he's had sex or masturbated earlier or in the last couple of days. When the fluid leaks from the penis before a guy comes, it can cause pregnancy.
An ultrasound can't give the exact date of conception, instead it gives you an estimated time of conception. She could have the baby 2 weeks before or after what the ultrasound said.
Your best bet is to get a DNA test once the baby is born to know for sure.

Well, an ultrasound can determine how far along she may be, which might be able to clear you, but I don't think it will pinpoint the date of conception. If you had sex on 21 Nov and she was due to start her period on the 26th or 27th, you probably didn't get her pregnant anyway...she would more than likely have been pregnant already when you had sex w/ her! Good luck!

Sounds like she is trying to trap you. That's only 8 days ago. If she is late now, and therefore pregnant she should have conceived on or around the 11th or 12th. If you were covered and didn't finish, then it's and even smaller chance, not including the fact that she should have ovulated around the 11th. It is possible she could have ovulated late but she would have no way of knowing that. Just tell her you will have a DNA test ran when the baby is born and if its your then you'll go from there. I bet if you dont give her the attention, it will all go away.
Its normal for a woman's cycle to vary from month to month, tell her to take home test, before this discussion goes any farther. I know quite a few girls that have tried this to try to get a man who really didn't want them for anything more.

An ultrasound can predict the age of the pg at 5 weeks. The 21st was only 8 days ago, it is highly unlikely she has missed a period from that event. She may just be late or she may have had another partner. Either way, there is nothing you can do at this time to determine it. You will have to wait a few weeks and see what happens. good luck

If a woman is unsure of the date of the last day of her first period then most Dr.s will send them for a "dating ultrasound" around 10-12 weeks. to get the age of the baby and the due date. Once you have her due date. You can go to www.amazingpregnancy.com and type in her due date on the pregnancy calender, and it will give you the date of conception. That date should be give or take about one week.
Good luck
And I always suggest a DNA test in these kinda situations once the child is born.

If she gets the ultrasound RIGHT AWAY it is more accurate. As time goes on the ultrasound can be up to 2 weeks off from the conception date.
If anything go to all doctors appointments like you would if it was your child and participate (not money wise) in the pregnancy and have a court ordered DNA test done ASAP after baby is born.
Good luck

It really depends on how far along she is. If an ultrasound is taken early in the pregnancy then they can most likely give her an accurate due date and she can count back. But if it is later in the pregnancy then other factors can interfere with the measurements of the ultrasound such as how much weight she has gained. Hope you find your answer you could always wait and take a blood test.

no test other than dna can say that you are the true father. why do you doubt her if you had sex? although it is awfully early for her to say she is definitley pregnant. she can however at four or six weeks along get an ultrasound done to only give an estimate as to the due date according to the size of the baby. not always accurate, just do dna and since you did have sex with her be supportive not a jerk. being pregnant is not fun.

Yep. The OB should be able to tell by sonogram when the child was concieved. Which can be taken at her first visit. Anytime before she's about 3 months pregnant is best. Or you could just wait and take a DNA test.
