Pregnancy & Parenting - 12 November 2006

My Husband and I have just had our first child and are now looking for a good place to relocate. So, I'm wondering where would be a good place to raise, educate, and entertain my growing family that is also very safe. Basically what I believe every mother looks for when they start their family, I know some of you have found it!! Looking for your advice, Andrea.

Ok lol i know this may sound stupid, but i was eating a tangerine, and swalloed a seed by asccident, now i dont think anything can happen, but again i have had 4 pregnancies, and all didnt turn out except the first, so iam a little worried with this one, i am 30 weeks pregnant but i am just wondering if the seed could harm the baby at all, no stupd answers please, i am being 100% serious, and would appreciate a polite answer thank you!!

Im not talking about abusing them i mean swatting thier butts. I dont know about the rest of you but im 29 and when and where i grew up that was the status quo. We had violent movies i.e Rambo, Friday the 13th and so on and most of us didnt turn into violent sociopaths because we were spanked. In fact i think younger people have lost all touch with reality when in it comes to right and wrong.

my son put a knife to my back tonight and threatened to stab me...i dont know how much more i can take...he was diagnosed bipolar two years ago and it just keeps getting worse...and for all the self righteousl ones who might answer with well have you tried this or have you tried that...well duh, yes i have tried everything that i am capable of trying...i would not even be considering this horrible prospect if i hadnt...he has been in and out of the hospital, intensive weekly counseling, medications, NOTHING works....we have no doors left in our apartment because he has smashed them all in...along with holes in every wall and kitchen cupboards ripped off...to answer other common questions...cant afford to send him to bootcamp i dont receive child support, can barely afford to pay the bills...dont have any family to help either so if any one has some non self righteous suggestions i would appreciate the help

Ok, me and my girlfriend were messing around... and i accidentally slipped into her, just a few cm, maybe 1 or 2cm, but I was fairly dry and didn't stay there for long... but I am just so worried that she might be:( This happened about an hour ago... and she told me (after it had happened) that her period was late, so is it more likely she is safe because of this? When her period does come will that mean she is not? I'm so worried please help!

I am only 12 and I look at really bad things on the net and tv! (sex, etc.) My parents don't even think I know about sex yet, they haven't had the talk with me, and I'm not about to mention it. I always hear parents gush about how joyfull and rewarding parenthood is... am I the only one who thinks it is the HARDEST THING EVER??? Where can I find safe reliable child care for my kids 9,8, and 2 while I work (12 hr shifts)and attend class. I have no family here or any friends who are willing to keep my kids. I am in a bad relationship and he keeps threating to walk out and refuses to keep the kids so that I can work or attend class b/c I want to end the relationship. I need childcare all day for the little one, and before and after school for the older two kids. i cannot afford to put all kids in childcare at the same time.

I want to give my 2 year old more choices. She's speech delayed so I can only ask her to point to what she would prefer. But it turns out she doesn't make the best choices (she wants cheese at every meal, or she doesn't understand how to pick between 2 pairs of pajamas.) How can I introduce choices that she'll feel more in control over? What did you do with your child at that age?

Other than the Diaper Genie? I saw one on that TLC channel on "A Baby Story" and it was like you put the diaper in the hole and pulled the handle down and when you opened it, ta-da!!! Time for the next diaper! The Diaper Genie we have is the kind you press the diaper down into and then shut the lid and twist the top... kind of a pain, fills up really fast, hard to empty.

im Due November 14th and i havent lost my MP yet or my water But for the last few weeks ive been having a discharge, like white mucas, not much , about once or twice a day. i had my doctor check me and she said it wasnt anything to worry about. i somtimes get a clear water fluid like coming out, maybe like a drop or two i thought it was amniotic fluid but they checked me and said it wasnt. i have got every answer of what it ISNT but not what is is....HELP.!!!!

Like...330 pounds...i'm 5'10...23 with some back problems...but some of my weight is muscle--as i've been working on a farm since I was a toddler. I'm not going to even start trying to have a child for over a year--so I can lose some weight...but even dieting is waaaaayyy hard for me...but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to have a healthy child and pregnancy. My husband says he will help me thru all of it. How much should I lose? at least 100 pounds is my guess...Is that too much, too little? Is there an easy way to lose the weight? Is there any vitamins/suppliments I can take? How much should I lose and How many months will it take for me to get to a target weight? I live too far from any gyms...but I am willing to rent excercise videos and eat right....Whaddya'll think?

I am 6 weeks pregnant w/ my 3rd ,we have 1 boy & 1 girl. But for some reason I have it set in my mind that I am having a girl, it is really weird because I don't care what I have as long as the baby is healthy. But something just keeps telling me girl. October 19th was the first day of my last menstrual Pd. November 8th I went to see the doctor. I told him I had bad headaches and was always sleepy and my nipples got bigger and darker with ugly pumps. He took a blood test and told me I wasn’t pregnant and to drink more OJ. The headaches and sleepiness went away but not my nipples. They never do that. my uterus feels funny and adds mild pain to the sides of my back. Also At this time of the month I should have ovulating pains that’s will feel like sharp pinching but I don’t have it at all. Do you guys think I am pregnant?
