Pregnancy & Parenting - 15 November 2006

My wife is pregnant at the moment and Im very concern about her current diet. She eats alot of food that I dont think is benifcial for her or the baby (cakes, crips, Chocalate) she rarely eats good solid food. What are the essiential foods and drink that she be taking now? and can you please give an ideal eating routine she should start, (for her breakfast launch and dinner) Thanks.

Most step--parents only have to see/deal with/interact with their step-kids on the weekends and/or a few holidays and/or over the summer months. But what if a step-parent has full 100% custody of a child with the kid's biological parent? What is that stepmother/stepdad called? A "fully-custodial step-dad/step-mom"? Since there is a drastic difference between every two-week visits and full total complete custody with no breaks...what is the correct terminology to use when referring to the full-time custodial step-parent? Is that it? "Full-time custodial step-parent"? Or is there some other term?

I had a very light period on the 3rd. Four days later I spotted very light pink discharge, slight cramps, nothing to take anything for, mild headaches( I suffer from migraines) and now nothing. I not due for a period until the 27th. Went to the doctor yesterday and she wouldn't give me any migraine meds until I get my period in 2 weeks because she thinkd I could be pregnant and its too early to test. With both of my children, I had a light period like the one I had early this month, and I was pregnant. I don't have any breast soreness anymore, just the tingleing. But I've been nauseaus since Friday. What do you think it could be?

i was sterilized in 1993 my tubes were burnt and i was told they wouldnt grow back i have had 3 children and just lately my body feels just like i did when i was pregnant my 2nd pregnancy went undetected till i was 5 months gone as all my tests were negative and i was still havin a period

Me n my bf have had sex some 2 weeks and sum days back...widout any protection...but he didn't hd deep penetration....now after 1 week i had my periods.
so that means im not pregnant now,right?
and also im having a slight pain in 1 of my ovary...

My husband and I had unprotected sex on Nov. 4, 5, and 12. I ovulated on the 13th and have had cramping and feel sickish. My last period was either the 24th of Oct. or 29-30th (cant' recall exact date). This is my first month of the pill as well. Could I be pregnant? Thanks for your input.

Over to my grandmother in law's house to visit with her alone and wants her to spend the night.She is staying 5 minutes down the road.....I'm wondering why she needs to be alone with her for one,but thats not a BIG deal...but I'm also wondering why she needs her to spend the night(she specifically asked if she could).I dont see the necessity........Does anyone else agree?

I have been trying to get pregnant since June of this year. I got a miscarridge in January when I was 3 months already pregnant, and the doctors can't give me any explanation as to why it happened. When I found out that I was 3 weeks pregnant I imediately stopped smoking and didn't drink even a alcohol cider, I got enough sleep and wasn't over active, so I don't know what went wrong, after the miscarridge the doctor put me on the pill and said I'm too young to be getting children. Beginning of June I stopped taking the pill and ever since then month after month I've been trying to get pregnant, there's no pressure. But it seems as if me and my boyfriend start to argue a lot when he hears I got my monthly 'illness' again. What am I to do?

I have a very shy 9 year old daughter...she's terrified of trying new things in front of other kids, and speaks so quietly in class that no one can hear her. She is also so shy that she doesn't express her emotions until they are extreme...I've never been shy at all, so it is difficult for me to relate...I'd LOVE to help her be more comfortable and less self conscious but nothing I say seems to work...any concrete advice on helping her?

due to jaundice, my doctor ask me to every 2 hour wake up my 10 days old baby to drink breast milk but the problem is the first day i try to feed her, she can drink quite alot.. but slowing on the 3rd day she drink less than 10 mins fall asleep. and now went i put her in my breast she start to cry..

I recently went off of the pill after being on it for 4-5 years straight without missing any pills! Me and my fience are wanting to try to have a baby come january- febuary and i was just wondering what others outcomes were while going off the pill. I havent yet had one regular cycle since i have been off of it, but should i expect anything unordinary? Should it take me long to consceive?
