another question for all you lovely helpful ladies out there. Im 13 weeks and am hoping to hear my babies heartbeat this afternoon. Up till now the pregnancy hasn't felt real. All symptoms have gone and apart from being a little tired, i feel as normal. It got me worried that something may be wrong. When u heard the heartbeat did it make the pregnancy seem real? if not, at what point did this happen?

I have a 34 day cycle... LMP was 10-19-2006... I think I had Fertile time around 11/5-11/8..... Last night and This Morning(11/14 & 11/15)... I'm having little shocking pains from my pubic bone down... could this be late ovulation? Impending Menstruation? Implantation Pain? Has Anyone had this ?Just a Lil' curious and need someone else's insight?! Thank You in advance

ok my mom in law always makes stupid childish comments that id rather not hear, im pregnant and im very fair in complexion and shes black and out of no where on the phone yesterday she says what if the baby comes out black, which it doesnt matter to me i just want a healthy baby, but if she sits around all day wondering what color the baby is going to be is ignorant and she says it all the time and said it my last pregnancy o by the way the one we have already is white as a ghost which does not matter but how do i tell her im not intrested in those types of commets......she sould be saying were hoping for a healthy baby

I had my first ultrasound yesterday (9w5d), and the heartrate was 176. Does this mean it is more of a chance of being a girl vs. boy. I heard if it is a faster rate it is more of a chance of a girl. Just curious if anyone with a boy had a fast heartrate. I'll be happy with what ever it is, but it's always fun to guess and wonder : )

my sister (his mother) and I are pretty much raising my nephew. and whenever we sit him down to eat he will throw his food. or dump it out of the bowl/off the plate. he is only 19 months old. we've ignored it, smacked his hands and even put him in time out. any ideas as to what we can do to get him to quit?

I need some advice please help. My son is 9 and is in GT. He has always made good grades. However he has made several B's this year,...which isn't like him at all. He makes comments about how much homework he has daily. Says he feels like he is being punished for being very intelligent. I have tried to tell him that I was in advanced classes myself and that he should be proud. However it doesn't seem to be helping. Any help is much appreciated.

This is my first baby! My son is 6 weeks old and only breastfed and during the day eats every 3 hours....but at night he will eat only once. Should I be worried or should I wake him to eat every 3 hours. If he eats only once a nite...I wake up with extremely full breasts and a wet shirt. Please help! :(

His name is Raymond Joseph, and he is the third generation. His Father is Junior, and his Grandfather is Senior. I've been trying to figure out something that I can call him refering to the "third" as he is Raymond Joseph III and I call my boyfriend Raymond and also my son it is starting to get confusing and I can't call my son Baby Raymond for much longer! My son came home from school yesterday bloody and badly bruised. He told me that his teacher and her assistant beat him with their personal collection of whips and chains because he lied about having his homework done. I have warned my son over and over again about lying to his teachers. My son is in a private school where beatings are allowed and though he has been beaten before never has it been this severe. Should I take my son out of this school or should I just allow him to take this as a "I told you not to lie lesson"??? Help

is it nessesarty to sterilazed your breast pump peices if you wash them in very hot soapy water. I am not sharing the pump with anyone. If you do have to sterilize them how do you do it at work.

There was aprogram on BBC 1 last night about IVF treatment etc. They have now progressed into determining the babies sex so you can choose boy or girl?

A woman on the program wanted a girl as she already had 4 boys....she had to go for this teatment in Cyprus. Discarded the male foetuses and kept the female..........in the end it didn't work.
do you think this is right?
Are we messing too much with human nature?
This treatment is anot available (as yet) in the UK but it's more than likely that it soon will be.
Would you go for this or leave it to chance?
