Its your body and as long as you are happy with the way you look then ignore what everyone else thinks. It is totally your choice. Everyone is different about what exercise they do and you should do whatever you feel more comfortable doing. I was so tired throughout my first pregnancy I did no exercise at all, I was really sick. I lost weight and my bump was just baby. I'm now 6 months pregnant with my 2nd daughter, I walk everywhere but within 10 minutes I feel like I have walked for hours. All it does is make me tired and ratty.
People who are telling you to exercise and are calling you fatty don't deserve to even be listened too.
Good luck xx

Don't worry about it. Start your second trimester. I've been so sick that I haven't been able to exercise. I even told my doc that I would start when I felt better and she was fine with that. I've also had a miscarriage so I'm just trying to take it easy the first 3 months this time around.

If you don't want to exercise then don't! No point doing it if you don't enjoy it. Although there is no reason why you shouldn't exercise during your first trimester. Just take it easy and don't get too hot. Walking is ideal.
I am 17 weeks and have been exercising throughout my pregnancy, and I don't even look pregnant yet!

You should walk. The more you walk the faster your labor/delivery will be. With my first daughter I walked 3 miles every morning and 5 every night. The day she was born I woke up at 4 am, took a shower (think my water broke in the shower), got to the hospital at 5am (just began having pains at that point) and she was born at 6:30am. It works! My second daughter I only walked about 2-3 miles/day and was in labor with her for atleast 8 hours. All I can say is WALK, WALK, WALK!!

exercise doesn't have to mean leaping around like a loony and getting all hot and sweaty!!
just going for short walks is good exercise for you and it's gentle enough that it shouldn't affect the baby.

if you are worried then talk to your doc or midwife/health visitor.

good luck with this pregnancy and ignore ignorant people. lol xxxx

Heard of Nordic Walking? It's soon to become as popular as jogging, try that.
