I have been very sleepy lately. I have been getting sharp pains in my lower stomach they just come and go. I should start my period Sunday so it's too early for me to be gettin menstrul cramps. Everyday my boy friend tells me he loves me then rubs my belly n says he loves the baby too. But i'm not sure if I'm pregnant. He would be very disappointed if I'm not. Advice please...

I am 6 mos pg with a daughter...

We were thinking about Georgia LeAnne? (named for grandfathers, George and Lee)

Thing is... my husband is red-headed and I picture a red-headed Georgia, if she's dark headed like me maybe...

I thought id love getting a bigger tummy, but the problem is i had such a poor body image before i fell pregnant and now im stacking on weight i dont feel i look pregnant i just look 'fat'. Everyone tells me not to worry, its beautiful. I dont see it. I wont even get naked infront of my boyfriend. Whenever i look in the mirror i feel disgusted at what i see. Ive got stretch marks and bulges. I just cant wait till i have this baby, its the only thing keeping me going. Im currently 5 months. any one with similar feelings?

These are two easy questions in one. I am not asking if it is correct or not to tell our childrens a lie, nor asking if Santa actually existed. I am not interested in long religious explanations of any kind. It's just a fact. My two children (6 and 8) trully beleive that Santa is sort of a magical person that brings gifts in Christmas eve. It was my and my wife decision to make them believe in Santa this way, and we have no regrets about it at all. We are just very interested in knowing other people's opinions on this subject. When and how it is the right moment to tell our chidren the truth about Santa? (that he actually doesn't "physically" exist). Thanks!

My youngest, who turned 3 in September is traumatized. A couple of months ago the house next to us burned almost to the ground. We were awakened by neighbors because our roof apex was smoking too. So she was dragged out of bed at 1 am and made to wait outside for almost 4 hours before they would let us back in.

What traumatized her most was her daddy's admission that when he went back into our house to get the car keys, the firemen that came in right after him "scared" him. He meant startled.

This set off a chain of thinking in her little head that has resulted in her being afraid of EVERYTHING. We are doing a lot of things to help her with it, but one thing I want to do is write her a little story that can help her feel better about it.

Can you help me with an idea? The beginning of a simple rhyme or something about being scared? I'm coming up blank! lol Thanks!

for the past 2 nights in a row i cant seem to get my daughter to sleep in her crib. SHe falls asleep with me but when i go to put her in her crib she wakes up instantly and cries. Im AGAINST the cry-it-out method so i dont want to just leave her in there but i dont want her to get used to sleeping with us. Last night was understandable.. she had her 4 month old shots that morning and had a terrible fever, but the night before nothing out of the ordinary happened and she absolutly refused to sleep in her own crib. She is a breastfed baby and at night i nurse her in our bed but the minute shes done she goes back in her crib because we didnt want her to get used to sleeping with us. I dont mind her sleeping there for a few minutes but im nervous about my husband who is a heavy sleeper and her sleeping with us. I need some ideas on how to get her to stay asleep when i put her down in her crib. Keep in mind that I DO wait until she is totaly asleep to put her down,..

Little bit of background: My wife is Thai and I am Australian. It is very common in Thai culture for children to sleep in the same bed as their parents right up until the teenage years. My wife was brought up this way as was all of her brothers, cousins and friends - I have to emphasise that this is normal.

To date our 18 month old boy sleeps in our bed. He is a dream of a child - very well behaved and sleeps soundly through the night. He says about 6 words but understands alot more - both English and Thai.

Should I challenge this peaceful existence by pushing fo rhim to sleep in his own bed?? Remember it is not only his behaviour but also that of my wife that will be challenged.

Also, he drinks milk from a bottle before sleep and he has one again at about 5.30 in the morning when he tends to wake - this dozes him back to sleep again. I didnt realise this would damage his teeth - is weaning him from the bottle and bed together too much??

Thanks for your help.

I have a seven year old doughter who is very smart but has problems doing her work at school. The school tells me she needs meds. I know she is hiper and her grades are falling because of it. I gess I should consult her docter but I don't know about the drugs they have on the market. So i was wondering if someone could tell me about some of them. She is my only child and i don't wan't to give something that could harm her.

My son is 11 months old and i just took him off formula. I give him a snack before bed and a sippy cup to go to sleep with. the problem is that he wakes up in the middle of the night still hungry. I've heard that i should just let him cry and he will learn to go back to sleep himself. He cries so hard and for so long that I'm afraid he can hurt himself. Can he? Also does anyone know what i can do to make him sleep through the night again not returning him back to formula?

My daughter's 8 months old. She has quite a bit of hair, and after her bath I usually just towel dry it. In the morning it's all over the place and won't lay flat. I'm just wondering if blow drying her hair is an option, or if she's still way too young?

the brain is running a little slow.........i am throwing my friend a baby shower. I am on a very, very tight budget (i have 2 babies that i stay at home with and i am currently going through a divorce. so you can imagine how tight the budget is.). my friend asked me to have it at an all you can eat buffet here in town. since thats what she wanted i made the reservations and sent it out with the invitations. i've never thrown a baby shower before so i don't know if i have to pay for everyone's lunch? if i'm obligated to do so...i don't know what to do cause i can't afford it.

also, i bought her a cute baby sleeper, pacifier clip, and baby booties for her gift. i gave her a lot of really nice things that my babies no longer needed (high chair, wipe warmer, baby books, toys, etc...). she always buys my babies very nice gifts for holidays. i almost guilty, like i should buy more things for her gift. should i be feeling this way? any advice is appreciated!

And if not, did it really happen? How about if an unborn baby is cut from its mother's womb and left to die in a cold steel bowl on the counter? What if an unborn baby is burned to death from the inside out by a saline solution injected into the birth sac...do the pro-abortionists hear its screams? How about if an unborn baby just weeks or days from birth is pulled from its mother's womb feet first, the base of its skull punctured, and the brains sucked out...do abortion lovers hear that sucking sound? Or, do they hear the cries of the mother who realizes what she's just done and cries out for forgiveness from her child? Ok, how bout this...if a baby survives one or all of the above, does an abortion lover hear the sound of the baby's cries as it's being drowned or struggles for breath inside a trash bag?

Just ponderings in this day and age of another government sanctioned genocide.
