I can understand why this person may have tested even after miscarrying. I myself once miscarried and was in shock when the doctor told me that I had. They had to perform a D&C to remove the fetus and I was still hoping for those few days before the surgery that they were wrong. It wasn't until I heard my boyfriend on the phone telling his mom that I lost the baby, that it really sunk in and I sobbed uncontrollably. Your HGC levels will take a while to come back down and so it's possible that you could still be testing positive. They usually take a blood test a week or so after the miscarriage to make sure that the HGC levels are back to normal. If you are asking this question for yourself, I am truly sorry for your loss. I have two children now, but there is always a part of me that will be sad about that event.

Yes. That is why most doctors have you come in weekly afterwards to have your hormone levels checked. I had to for 4 weeks after I miscarried at 10 1\2 weeks.

Yes, Your body still has an increase in the hormones that tests detect. My daughters friends just had a miscarriage, and over a month later tested positive, but she was not pregnant.

Sorry about the miscarriage. Those suck badly. *hugs*

Yeah, you can still test positive. Your body still thinks you are pregnant and your hCG levels might be coming down slowly. It's a horrid long process.

Hope you get to feeling better soon.

YES YOU CAN. BUT ALSO DON'T BELIEVE ANYONE WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GET PREGNANT RIGHT AWAY AFTER MISCARRYING. YOU CAN! AND YOU COULD POSS ABLY LOOSE IT AGAIN RIGHT AWAY, IT WOULD NOT BE IN YOUR BODY'S BEST INTEREST TO GET PREGNANT RIGHT AWAY. YOUR HORMONES ARE GOING TO BE SO OUT OF WACK IT COULD EFFECT YOUR HEALTH IN LOTS OF WAYS.
