Is it true that hot candle wax is good to pour on a baby's gums? My sisters toddler is teething and her doctor told her to light a candle and then pour the hot wax on the babys gums to sooth the pain of teething. I had never heard of this before. Is this a good rememdy for teething?

i had my period but i'm getting weird hips and stomach pains in the bottom of my stomach and i spoke to a nurse and she said that it is possible to get ur period when ur pregnant...is she wrong?? am i pregnant or am i being paranoid?

ever since yesturday i have been having crampy like contractions, not real bad but they really havent gone away, stil have the plug and water hasnt broken yet. they seem to get worse for about a half n hour but then go back to jus crappy cramps, but this has been going on since yesturday and havent gone away,...am i in labor???

I am 36 1/2 weeks pregnant and am working out at least 5 times a week doing cardio and 3 days a week doing body sculpting/weights/strength training. Lots of squats, lunges, and all of that good stuff. A few women have told me that if I continue to work out at that level I will have the baby early. I know that my due date is exact because I charted my temp and body signs. With that said...are there any mom's out there that had worked out really hard in the last four weeks, knew that their due date was very accurate (not just by going on the 'first day of last missed period'), and delivered early, on time, or late???? Thanks in advance!

My husband and I have been talking about this subject.

My son (9mo) will come up to us if we are eating in the living room and literally beg for food--crying, screaming, standing right next to us, and reaching out for our food. He will do anything to get a taste of some good food. While it's cute now--I know it won't be cute when he's two. I feel this is a habit we need to break now whereas my husband feels we should continue meeting his demand for food.

Do you feel reinforcing bad behavior causes bad habits which later will be harder to break?

I suggested to my husband we should give him something to eat whenever we sit down for lunch or a snack in the living room and then ignore him if he begs. Do you think that would be a better idea for this or am I over-reacting?

My boobs are really sore and I'm really grouchy. I was thinking that maybe it was just the medicine vitex im taking but im really not sure cause its not a side effect? anyone else have any symptoms like this when they were taking it? I dont know if its the medicine or what? but its making me nuts...My husband cannot stand me either haha!

i ovulated on 3rd nov.
had sex on 1st ,4th,6th and 8th nov.
i am ttc.
i had severe nausea on 1 day only thats on 11th.

My son is 5 and we have a blended family situation. I was young when I had him and only in the last year become a better mom and understood more about being a more loving mom. OUr connection is a bit statiky at times however because of how I was when I was younger. I tend to yell and/or act angry when I am dissapointed or hurt and it has really started to make him turn his head the other way when I talk to him. He has gotten in trouble at school recently and tonight I really got on to him because he always takes forever to eat. (an hour and a half sometimes!) Anyway, I feel bad because lately all he seems to talk about is his dad who hardly even cares about him as he is going there for Christmas and I feel bad that we are kind of butting heads. I know I need to be more patient and express my feelings without frustration. Any ideas on how to reconnect with him? I told him I was sorry for using a mean voice and I wasnt angry with him just worried about him.
