From the first day of your period, counting up to about day 9 you should be okay. Between days 9 and 16, assuming you have your period every 28 to 30 days, you would be most fertile. Remember though that sperm can live 3-5 days inside your fallopian tubes waiting for you to release your egg.

The answer is "Yes." It only takes one little, determined swimmer. The likelihood is greatest around 14 days after, that is about the amount of time needed for an egg to move into position.

If you didn't use protection, you can get pregnant. And if you don't know that, then you shouldn't be having sex.
