thats really not a where do you look issue thats just things you come up with. here i'll give you a few. pros... you get to be like everyone else and have kids, they are suppose to be rewarding and joyful, you have some one to take care of you when you get old hopefully, you have some one to give to, cons: they suck a lot of money, the need lots of time, it can be very difficult, they need to be fed and clothed they cannot be left alone for 13 years....dont really know where to get facts to prove this....just ask any parent or any adult whose nto a parent they can tell you why its good and bad.

You could definately include the financial responsibilities of raising a child properly. The time invested.
I believe you will also be able to find something about the psychological and emotional issues with having children, I believe I read that those who have children actually get clinical depression much less than middle aged people who do not have children.

I have 2 children 20, & 24 I sometimes think what did I do with all of the problems that my children have created for themselves but ultimately their problems become mine. I often think what it would be like to never have had children, all of the money I could have saved, the trips I could have taken, all of the luxeries of a person that is working and making great money and could do whatever they want with it, but when I am with my children I see myself and my husband in them and I see the beautiful people they are, I remember their younger years and how fullfilled I was watching them grow.
As I grow older I know I will have my children who will love me unconditionally as I do them, and every holiday, and birthday, I always have something to look forward to. I will never be lonely as I grow older and when I die I will leave behind my children who will remember me and all of the precious times we have spent together. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, even though at times you think your life would be great without children, there is no greater reward then having them.

Do a yahoo search under “Child-Free” or “Childfree”. You will learn a lot about people whom have chosen not to have children.
Look all the hot vacation spots. You will see lots of people that chose not to have children living it up. Oh, those people with kids. You can find them at K-Mart, or at their parents house asking for money.

This has some facts on population and contraception: http://www.context.org/ICLIB/IC31/ToBreed.htm
Census results: http://www.census.gov/population/www/socdemo/fertility.html
Be more specific. Population isssues aside, you're not going to find a logical reason for people to HAVE kids.
Google the term "Childfree"

I guess it depends what you are comparing..
reasons to have kids vs reasons not to
numbers of people who have kids vs numbers who dont
be more specific
the United Nations has long warned that continued human overpopulation will be our own demise..

it depends in how old you are and what you do if you are young and like to go out a lot then no kids take up a lot of your time... if you have a busy schedule for a job then no because kids need their mom but if youre ready to have kids then you will be happey once you have them
