My daughter was born deaf and had the Cochlear Implant after she turned 1. She has been hearing for about 4 months. So technically she is like a baby in the Hearing stage of her life. For the past couple of weeks she has been throwing tantrums and banging her head on the floor and throwing things. She hit her Speech therapist in the face yesterday. I was so embarrased!
I understand she is frustrated because she can't communicate as well as she wants. She is really smart. She can sign probably 30 signs. I can tell her No, but what is that going to do! She just gets more angry! What am I going to do?!!

like as low as my pubic bone when I was pregnant with my first and felt him kick it was like around my belly button, this one is so low, plus whe I went to the doctor I had a aid measuring and she goes oh its about three inches away, I get dehydrated easy could that have something to do with my uterus being so low (lack of amniotic fluid)?

There was a question earlier in the day titled "Help me please!". It said;

I have two children, ages 2 and 5 that love to watch PBS Sprouts, especially the Good Night Show. My problem is this show has a new host that sucks! The kids hate him! Plus they rearranged their programs too! Please send an email to info@sproutletsgrow.com and tell them to get rid of Leo, bring back the old line up. A bonus would be to ask them to bring back Melanie.

This dude is right my kid hates it too. I wrote an e-mail and am asking others to back this.

when he does not behave in school? or when he is taliking back to the adults around him?
I do talk to him about his behavior and take things (priveledges) What else can I do?
I feel like he just inhereted a 'stubborn' gene fom his dad- ofcourse =-).

My son was expected to start preschool this year but I couldn't afford it at the time. Now I can and I'm afraid it's too late. Is there a specific regisration date for preschool? Did I miss it? Do I have optoins? He's only 4 (turning 5 in January). I don't want to send him to kindergarten next year unprepared. He's an only child and needs more social time with other kids.

I should have asked this before giving him a slice.
Without suggesting orange juice (though fresh squeezed sounds like a good possibility) does anyone have any suggestions. My son likes the taste but he also likes the feel of it all over his face and arms (and legs and belly).
Are there any benefits to bathing in citrus? LOL!

I am currently pregnant with twins (found out at 7 weeks) and am now 9 weeks. Are the chances high that I will lose one of them? I don't go back to the doc until October 9th and i'm worried that when I go back and get an u/s there will only be one baby. I don't have any major medical problems and im 23 years old( I don't know if that makes a difference.) Can anyone put my mind at ease?

Okay, so there is this guy at school(We are both freshman). He is really annoying and I don't like him at all. Today in Study Hall, we all walked in and there were yard sticks on the tables. This guy sits behind me and all he did was poke me in the back with the freaking yard stick! He has also been know to throw plastic spoons, goggles, rocks and other miscelaneous objects at me! What do I do? I really don't want to have to get teachers involved, and I have tried asking him to stop. I have also yelled at him nemerous times! What can I do?

How do Highshool daycares work? I was under the impression that the students whos children were in the daycare gave up a studdy hall to help work in the daycare center in exchange for free childcare. Does anyone go to one of these highschools who could give me first hand info? Also would you need special qualifications to work as a teacher at one of these highschools?

I have tried "Googling it" but I'm not getting the correct type of info that I need. I am basically looking for signs of child abuse or neglect in babies or toddlers. I'm finding sites that are geared toward signs in older children but I need some that are for children at ages that they cannot talk to tell you if anything is going on. I know there are a lot of obvious signs, but I mean things like, when a toddler is acting clingy could it sometimes point to negect that kind of thing.Also, when there are really not any bruises to go by if it is neglect, like what are some of the behavioral characteristics or psychological things they may do if neglected. So if anyone knows of any websites that could help me it would be appreciated. Or maybe someone is familar with this themselves?

My three month old has been breastfeeding the whole three months with an occasional bottle that has been pumped from me. Lately she has been pulling away and not wanting to nurse as if she is not getting anything and cries hystarically. The milk is there. What can I do? Is she telling me she's done with breastfeeding? I know this sounds silly, but my work days suck! I am guessing it has something to do with the amount of sleep I get? I dont know but I wake up at 6 to go to work and I am always so nauseus...I try to eat but usually cant and it seems to linger all day. But on weekends, it is very rare for me to feel sick and I can eat what I want. Any tips for making my work sickness go away? or why it happens this way?
