I should have asked this before giving him a slice.
Without suggesting orange juice (though fresh squeezed sounds like a good possibility) does anyone have any suggestions. My son likes the taste but he also likes the feel of it all over his face and arms (and legs and belly).
Are there any benefits to bathing in citrus? LOL!

Thanks for seeing the humor in this experience. I actually cut in into wedges for myself to share with him because I knew he wouldn't eat the entire thing - i'll cut his portion smaller next time.

I think two is a little young for a slice because they do love to explore their food. LOL You could just dice it up (what a chore, though) or get those little mandarins that are canned or jarred. Kids love them and for the most part, no mess..

Whatever you do, make sure you cut the segments into very small (two year old) bite size pieces. I had one of my scariest mom moments when my son was a toddler and choked on an orange segment. He coughed it up and was fine, but it scared the h*** out of me! Other than that, now that my son is 23, I can tell you not to fret about him making a mess, you will miss those days years from now, trust me! A really good idea might be to give him those small orange bites while in the tub, or just before bath time.

Mandarine oranges are great for this, also try tangerines. As for regular oranges: instead of cutting it in wedges maybe try peeling it and separating the sections; that's how I do it anyway - though it is still a mess it is a healthy one at least!

I always heard that a youngster should not eat oranges because of the white stringy coating around the orange. They could choke. I would separate the sections and just give him half of one at a time.

It won't hurt him-but whoever thinks there is a way to keep a 2 year old clean during ANYTHING let alone feeding ! That's just crazy! Let him have fun-at least he will be focused on eating-getting a 2 yr old to eat is a challenge anyway!

while bringing in a clean member, you may shop them separated for a on an identical time as as they slowly get used to a minimum of one yet another - - this could be a organic reaction. shop the kitten in a separate room with each and all of the failings necessary - foodstuff, water, muddle container, and a container with holes decrease in facet for it to get in/out - and with a towel or something. ultimately, bypass away the door to the room opened a crack and progressively enable the kitten to be out around the older cat in easy terms once you're modern - like having it on your lap, etc. one element to objective is to get some spray catnip and spray your cat toys, and shop them close to you once you aer conserving the kitten - so as that the older cat comes close to you and the kitten. I unquestionably have seen situations the place the older cat is so busy enjoying the catnip (if yours likes it) and that they overlook concerning to the newcomer.

They have little hand held deals that have a strainer sort of thing. You unscrew it and put the fruit in and they can chew it , and suck the juice out.
Bathing in citris? Probably so. At the least you will smell yummy.

I came back to read that your child is two. oops..

have you tried mandarin oranges? they come in a can and are already sliced and are smaller than normal orange wedges, so there's less mess! i even prefer them myself, there's no lil white "stringies" either
