Most doctors will tell you no because the pain stressed the baby. Just wait until you have the baby and then get a tattoo.

Like everyone else is saying, you can but most respectable tattoo shops will not tattoo a pregnant women. My personal artist makes you sign a waiver that says you are not pregnant to your knowledge and that you do not have any communicable diseases(Hep., AIDS/HIV) or the flu. Any time you get a tattoo you run the risk of contracting one of these diseases or your tattoo getting infected. It's best to wait until after you have your child to get your tattoo. If you need more information as to whether or not you can get a tattoo talk to your tattoo artist. They'll be able to explain more if they say no and they may work with you in designing a unique design for your tattoo, since you'd have plenty of time. As for me, my back piece will have to remain unfinished until my new bundle of joy appears. They do say, however, that your skin takes the ink better if you are pregnant, but they won't tattoo you. It's like they tease you with that fact.

Every one is just saying wait, or NO, or whatever, not too helpful hu? well you can get a tattoo while pregnant, but its not really a good idea, One because alot of places wont do it, If there a good shop they will tell you why, your body produces a hormone/drug that helps with pain, called endorfins, these endorfins can harm the babys nervous system and/or brain, SOOO its best not to even try to get a tattoo until after the baby is born and/ or after breast feeding, depending on wheter or not you choose to ... good luck

No. Reason being is that you bleed and when you are pregnant your blood tends to be a little thinner than normal and also the ink has to sink into your blood stream and when you're pregnant it could harm the baby. There are not a lot of proffessionals that will ink a pregnant woman.

It's not a good idea. Your body will start fighting the ink and the open area wound just as if you had fallen off of a bike and gotten road rash on your knee.

Also, the ink can be absorbed into your blood stream and transferred to your baby.

Wait until after you have your baby, just to be careful.

i would not recommend a pregnant or nursing mother to get a tattoo due to the danger or contracting hepatitis. Wait until the baby is born and weaned.- and then only go to a reputable tattooist.

technically yes of course, but realistically i would say not too because of the risk of infection - specifically the drugs you would have to use to treat the infection. it happened to me(not pregnant) but of course i had to use strong ointment and antibiotics and i dont know what would be safe for a pregnant woman to use so it would probably be too big of a risk.

the artist doesn't do them because they don't want to harm the baby from the ink or cause you to bleed excessively! Most of the artists refuse to do them because it could possibly harm the baby!

I would wait until after I had the baby and if you're going to breastfeed, I would wait until I stopped breastfeeding!

I dont see a problem with it. Tattoos are soaked into the skin not into the blood stream.

i would definetly say NO! the tattoo could get infected or if the tattoo shop or needle isnt sanitary you could always risk getting an infection or disease.
