Try one of the teething soothers that you put in the fridge, not freezer, you can also try a thick slice of carrot out of the fridge.
Worked for my 9 month old when he was 6 months, but doesn't work any more, as he bites pieces off and eats them!!!!!
I also gave him Tylenol infant drops...(at his pediatricians advice)
Good luck

I work at a daycare and the information that is most given to parents is oral jell. If you don't want to give them medicine you can buy a plastic teething ring filled with water and freeze it. You can also wet a rag and freeze it and let the baby chew on it. Also zwieback cookies with a lot of supervision.

We have a 6 month old too and I really don't think there's anyway to truly make her feel better. People say to freeze their teethers and all that stuff but it don't make no difference to her. She don't like that, she hates orajel. Nothing seems to help like that. We sometimes give her some infant Tylenol or Motrin and that helps a little I guess.

There a few over the counter remedies. Orajel numbs the gums.
Teething tablets my girlfriends swears by (Heath Food Stores).
I used Tylenol and gave our daughter a wet clean washcloth to chew on.

baby oragel or a cold, wet wash cloth for the baby to teethe on. baby tylenol also could help for the pain. any teething toys can be put in the fridge and then have baby teethe on them also.

Cold teething ring, one of the gel ones they can really bite down on. There is a gel you can rub on the gums as well that is very good, I think it was called Bongela, but it was a few years ago.

Infant Motrin (works better than Tylenol according to my Dr) and teething tablets.

Baby's Tylenol? They also have all kinds of creams for that - talk to your pharmacist. We are going thru the same thing now (our boy is almost 4 month old) and that cream seems to be helping.
