Am i just over reacting???

Question

I just took the pregnancy test i got the first one a light positive the second a negative. Should i go buy another kit?I am so excited and scared all at once my boyfriend and i just got engaged!

had sex two weeks ago with my boyfriend the condom broke. We are engaged and i am 24 and he is 25 i am nervous wreck because tonight is the night i meet his whole family for a pasta dinner there Italian and i am spanish and my family was kind of hard on him! should i tell my boyfriend?or should i wait till later on?

oh my god i am so excited thank you all !we were discussing having kids in the next year or so!I now he is going to be thrilled particularly if its a boy!

Even a faint positive is a positive. The second was likely negative just because you don't have much hormone in your bloodstream yet. It seems highly likely that you are pregnant. To be sure, you could wait a couple of days and test again with your first urine in the morning; you'll probably get a very clear positive then.

As for when to tell your fiance, only you know that! If he's already nervous about you meeting his folks, maybe you should cut him a break and wait until after it's over.

take another test. dont stress, you have time to figure things out... a lot of time... talk to your boyfriend, make sure he knows how you feel and talk it over with him. communication is VERY important right now!! you can get a false negative but never a false positive. the Hcg levels in your blood are what tell the test you are pregnant so there had to be enough. it could also be too soon for your body to be producing a traceable amount of the hormone. good luck!!

Different brands act differently. I was tested negative with the first brand I tried, so I bought an ovulating test to determine my ovulating days. What a waste of money. Every day for the whole month, it said I wasn't ovulating. Then, I bought another brand of pregnancy test because my period was late and it said I was pregnant. My husband and I didn't know what to think, so I saw a doctor. The doctor ended up giving me an internal ultrasound for this pain I was feeling on the left side of my abdominal and she saw that I was pregnant.

you're pregnant!! The positive is just that! the second test was probably negative because your hcg isn't that high and therefore, the test didn't pick up the hormone! go ahead and schedule a dr's appt and tell the nurse to do a serum! A faint positive is a positive and a false negative is more likely than a false positive. I would suggest buying a 2 pack of 2 different brands of test...some are more sensitive to different bodies.

i wouldnt tell him anything until you know either way, no sense in getting him nervous. You are probably already nervous and excited about the engagement and meeting his family, this isnt helping, i would say get another kit, maybe even a multiple test kit and pee away until you feel you know one way or the other.

i would say wait another week and retest and if you still get another positive and negative. go to your doc and have a blood test done those are 100% right. don't worry and don't be scared. being worried can make you very sick so try not to. tell your boyfriend you think you might be. you'll need his support what ever way it comes out. best of luck.

i'd either buy another kit or go to the doctors and have them test you.or u could just wait another 2-3 weeks to see if your period comes.

No ..you should tell him about what is going on but first take another test. he may not be ready for this even if you are.that wouldnto be fair if you don't tell him your concern.
