I'm not talking about tomorrow, but America has a huge consumption rate. And if they continue to have to pay high prices for middle-eastern oil, might they not take Canada's resources by force? They also need water, which we have plenty of. We are a militarily weak country by comparison, so we would be no obstacle. Again, im talking about the distant future.

Are the streets of America full of homeless veterans who have medical diseases and mental problems from active duty to this nation? I was told one in four homeless Americans are U.S. honorably discharged veterans! Surely this cannot be true! Such a situation would be a national shame! Perhaps one in 50 or one in a hundred homeless people could be veterans, but one in four would be a monumental U.S. tragedy!!!!

I am a new Navy wife but I have had so little contact with the military in my life, I know nothing about it. How do we communicate well when he is out? We have not been doing that well. What's ship life like? What about all the military lingo I don't get? How do I explain all this to our kids? How about their confusing schedules? Is there some military life for dummys book out there or site with this kind of stuff because I have been so lost on all of it. Please Help.

I'm in JROTC and I'm a CO and my 1SG doesn't listen and he constantly goes over my head, and tells my company memebers he's gonna do this and that, where it's not his decison or choice, it's mine. I'm at my wits end with him. Any advice on what to do? (I don't have the authority to fire him)

So I am a Russian Soldier.(voulenteer, not conscript) I have served with pride in these places, fighting against terrorism and radicals.

I wanted to ask the rest of Amero and Eurocentric world what they think of, and do they support this war.

So many questions here for Iraq and Afghanistan. Very few seem to even know of Chechnya.

Do you support the war in Chechnya and Dagestan.

I am an owner of a small time diving business hull cleaning mostly. I was recently approched by a guy claiming to have served in as a Army Ranger. I served from Operation Just Cause, to Iraq and Afghanistan. This guy claims he served in the US Army as a Ranger, and as Recondo in every operation since Urgent Fury! When I asked him with whom, he said 18th Ariborne Corps in Grenada. I thought Rangers and 82nd handled that one............I think he is lying to me about 90% of what he says. I DO NOT have his date of nbirth but I have his name and social security number. Can ANYONE please help me? In this day and age I am so pissed off at those who claim military service when men and women and 24 of my friends have died in serving our country, yes his lies are to me "stolen Valor" Oh when I asked about a CIB, he said "he was an RTO, didnt get one" always an answer Thank you in advance
Aaron

General Ralph Eberhart, who was in charge of air defense on 9-11, was the first commander of "Northern Command," the domestic unified military command established in October 2002. If the domestic use of the U.S. military escalates into full-scale martial law, the Northern Command would essentially manage it. If 9/11 had been an "intelligence failure," it is likely that General Eberhart would have been court-martialed instead of promoted.

I know this guy who is in the Navy and I've been e-mailing him (using his navy address) and he hasn't emailed me back. I finally spoke to him today and he said he couldn't use it because he got "a messed up e-mail". I didn't ask him what kind of email it was, but I meant to. I'm thinking something extremely sexual or maybe something regarding terrorism or attacking his ship. IDK. PLEASE HELP.

It seems unlikely to me that they would want to throw the first punch - that they would lose the world's sympathy possibley their allies Russia and China

That they would risk a full on assault by the US and that would increase dramatically thes risk of a nuclear missle in downtown Tehran

To me they seem to have everything to lose and nothing to gain

If they declare war - they may hope to bring Russia or China into the fold at least to provied a full on economic war if not a military one- unite the Arabs -

They may declare a war with Israel -- a US Iranian proxy war

I have seen both sides of the argument. People claim that 9/11
Truthers are "conspiracy theorist nutcases" and kooks and
anarchists who are being disrespectful to those who died on 9/11
and to the soldiers who are risking their lives for the safety and
security of the USA. These are their "core beliefs":

1. They believe there is strong proof of an "inside job" on 9/11
(a) Controlled demolitions were used to destroy all 3 WTC
buildings; (b) No large debris or wreckage proving that large
passenger jet planes really did crash at the Pentagon (Flight
77) and for Flight 93; (c) Molten metal cannot be created by
open air fires

2. They believe the 9/11 Commission report was a whitewash
and a cover-up attempt that did not properly investigate what
caused steel-framed buildings to collapse due to the heat
from the jet fuel fires (the first time that any steel framed high
rise building has ever collapsed spontaneously due to fire, in
the entire history of construction).

Bush has set up laws (passed by Congress) that gives him full
control over all parts of government, essentially making him a
king or a dictator, in the event of a major emergency crisis, or
a major terrorist attack deemed to be a threat to the entire
nation (even if such a crisis is fabricated or staged!)

The recently approved "Military Commissions Act" allows him
to throw anybody he likes in jail indefinitely, without any rights
to appeal or receive a hearing or a court trial to prove their
innocence. (No evidence is necessary, just strong suspicion)
The victim could be falsely framed or labeled as an "enemy
combatant" and could be detained as long as Bush likes...

Look at the "Patriot Acts" 1 and 2 in detail. Look at the
"Military Commissions Act". Read all the laws that Bush &
Cheney have put in place, waiting to be used on Americans.

Do you approve of this?

The Nazis burned down the German Parliament house
(Reichstag fire) to scare people into making Hitler a dictator.

I've always had the lifelong dream of saving lives... I cant explain it, but I do. I would love to join the military specifically the Marines or Army and serve several years in combat. However, I'd like to go to college before hand and get a degree in business. My concern is that I'll get distracted with my schoolwork and completely pulled away from my Military desire...

Should I even bother joining the military?

Personality Disorder is a Disease that people are born with or start suffering early in life. But thousands of Troops upon leaving Iraq and the Service are denied Medical Treatment because they are diagnosed with Personality Disorders which are not considered caused by combat trauma. The unfairness is that all Troops are given complete medical examiations when they join the Military. To be accepted in the military means Troop is healthy, period. Being accepted in the Military means that anything that medically happens to a Troop during his or her time in the service is something new, something that did not exist before they joined the Military.
But the Military is denying benefits to Combat Veterans because they had Personality Disorders before they joined the Military. This is not logical, provable, appropriate or even legal in terms of the conditions of services. But, the United States Military is doing this to returning Combat Veterans who after combat have mental health problems.
