Hey go read some history books and put down the video games. The so called surge did work, it slowed down the Vietcong and their supply routes. Killed thousands of Vietcong and NVA.

As far as loosing, we only lost when Carter let the draft dodgers back in from Canada.

The war came to an end, for political reasons only!!!!! If the politicians crawled through the muck and jungle with us, it would have been different. But they (like many others) are arm chair quarterbacks!!!

PS. Hey Be-Good, what about World War 1 and World War 2, you saying the US lost those too. (maybe you too should put down the video games),

Well I can see by all the "thumbs down" votes against us that were there, the kids are on line tonight!!! (must be the protesters are bored)!

Hey Neil K. won by the Red Army, you just insulted thousands of WWII veterans, and their families. Now I see how the education system has failed these past 20 years!!

what the hell are you talking about, by the time the end of our presence took place, the enemy was clearly defeated and it took them two years to rebuild a force to take south vietnam

There was no real plan. Sound familiar? Get it straight, Sarge. The US got involved in WW1 after it was basically over, and WW2 was won by the Red Army!

Because you refused to get off the plane being a trainee anti-war trollet!!!

You make it sound like the 500,00 were all out in the boonies looking for Mr.Charles!!

From your 500,00 remove the out of country, carrier based Naval Airforce and Navy, and the land based support services what are you left with as a number for combat troops??

Also when about 80% of them (500,000) were R.E.M.F. who unlike you, were busy keeping their Brothers In Arms supplied in the fight against the N.V.A. and Viet-Cong.

Same thing that is happening now with Iraq. Americans protested and refused to support the war. Politicians spoke out against us as they do now and use the war for political gain. Now for the second time our enemies see that all you have to do to beat the US, is to outlast public opinion. We will have no credibility left if we give up again.
