Sorry I was not clear. This is for a speech class assingment. I mean should women be ALLOWED to be in direct combat? In my opinion I don't care. It's their choice.

Of course!
Women are just as capable as men. There's no reason we shouldn't be aloud to fight as well. If your willing to go over there and do what it takes then I don't see how it matters what your gender is.

In many physical ways, women are superior to men. They, on average, absorb more O2 into their bloodstream, their night vision is better on average, etc. But being in the military is an obligation not easily broken. And to truly be considered part of the Force, there can be no "gender norming", the standards have to be the same for all or they aren't the same for any.
Women in combat? If they can do the job, they should be able to GET the job.

When military service involved mass casualties, it was illogical to have many women - who, in the greater scheme of thing, help you recover from mass casualties by bearing children - risking thier lives in combat. Today, at least in the US, the military paradigm is different, and casualties tend to be a lot lighter (and war, much, much more expensive, financially). Under that paradigm, females serving, even in combat, is practical.

Should women WHAT in the military??

...be in the military? Sure. They've proven they're just as capable in their roles as men are in their roles. Some don't have the same physical strength as some of the men - but they can all contribute in their own ways.

Are you asking if women should be ALLOWED in the military? Then, yes. Why not? Women are very capable, intelligent human beings, and there is no reason they shouldn't be allowed into the military.

Women are already in the military, and they do an excellent job. I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here.
