I am serious and thought about the T.A. I have done crimes that if you read it in black and white you would argue that I was not guilty! but i think once you get accused of one thing you get dragged down with others. i was a law abiding citizen for 27 years of my life then a few corrupt officers in the prison i worked in have stuffed me for life!

you dont say how old you are or what country you are in. If you are over the age of 29 you can not join the British Army anyway, as they have age restrictions. i think it is 25 for soldiers 27 for returning personnel and 29 for officers (degree essential).
Second to that, i think it unlikely you would be allowed to join with those particular offences against you, and further to that, any offences that they would consider acceptable need to be spent for 3 yrs, so taking all that into account, if you commited crimes at 27, 3 yrs spent, that would make you 30 and too old to join anyway.
I think its highly unlikely, but to find out for certain ring your local Army Careers Centre, the number is in the yellow pages and they will tell you straight away one way or another.

OK, the answer.
It depends on whether your convictions are considered as "spent" under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
If they are then you will almost certainly get in. If not, you still have a chance but it doesn't look good.
If they are not yet "spent" then maybe consider waiting until they are before you try applying.
But at the end of the day, you won't know until you apply. The army is short-staffed and so may take you on anyway IF you can prove you've reformed

No nastiness, you should be commended for reforming yourself.
As for even considering to join the army and fighting for the oil and armaments industry, forget it, seek advice from your job centre with a view of enrolling on a college course for a subject that will ensure that you will obtain a job on completion.
If in doubt of the nature of the work that would suit you, look at the vacancies in the local press and then choose the course that will enable you to gain the knowledge to apply for that type of work.
Never venture never win.

Everyone is looked at on a case by case basis, and you can get a waiver for just about anything. I have a couple arrests on my record. I had to get them waived before the AF would accept me, and they are by far the pickiest. They take some time to go through, but it you are committed just be patient. Though a waiver will probably limit your job opportunities.

I would think that the Army would take you. I know that the Navy will not and I don't know about Marine's or AF. I am sure you have turned over a new leaf and have learned from your mistakes. You should be proud to want to serve. Best wishes to you!

When you start the recruiting process, try to be as honest as possible when it comes to your interview. Like someone has already said they do review case by case and as long as you no longer deal or take drugs it should look lightly on you. wish you luck!

It depends on the amount of assaults you've made and how bad the outcome of the victim(s) was/ were.
They do ask you if you have taken or take drugs- i do know if you are 6months clear from drugs they do allow you in on proof that you are "clean" as they say- but it does depend on the class of drug.
[That's for the British army anyway.]
Good luck.

The assult I know you can get in with...as long as it's not domestic...as for the drug supply...you will just have to talk to the recruiter. I actually think you will be ok. Good luck to you.

Talk to a recruiter. They should be able to discuss this with you and give you a reasonable answer in your case.
