Do you approve of Bush's new laws that can make him a dictator in the next national emergency?

Question

Bush has set up laws (passed by Congress) that gives him full
control over all parts of government, essentially making him a
king or a dictator, in the event of a major emergency crisis, or
a major terrorist attack deemed to be a threat to the entire
nation (even if such a crisis is fabricated or staged!)

The recently approved "Military Commissions Act" allows him
to throw anybody he likes in jail indefinitely, without any rights
to appeal or receive a hearing or a court trial to prove their
innocence. (No evidence is necessary, just strong suspicion)
The victim could be falsely framed or labeled as an "enemy
combatant" and could be detained as long as Bush likes...

Look at the "Patriot Acts" 1 and 2 in detail. Look at the
"Military Commissions Act". Read all the laws that Bush &
Cheney have put in place, waiting to be used on Americans.

Do you approve of this?

(Reichstag fire) to scare people into making Hitler a dictator.

These laws as you call them were already in place. Many were individually consolidated into the Patriots Act to better account for them. If this was not the case then this would have been verbally challenged by the Congress.

Your idea of history is a bit spotty. Hitler used loop-holes in the German constitution to make himself a dictator. When President Hindenburg died, Hitler (as chancellor) left the office of president open and declared himself "Fuhrer". By leaving the office of the president vacant, Hitler did not have to take an oath to the German constitution. The Reichstag fire was used to pin the blame on a French Jew, allowing the Nazis to begin the presecution of the Jews.

Please actually learn history before you start to panic.

Does all and sundry submit to in suggestions 1918? Or study it? The flu pandemic of 1918 killed tens of millions. plenty better than WW1. The avian flu virus has the comparable skill if it may go the species barrier. And while it does it is going to unfold in a count of weeks international huge. it somewhat is why we would desire to be thoroughly arranged till now it/if happens.

Unfortunately, it wasn't recently approved, but almost a year ago. Now there are two bills in Congress to fix what Congress screwed up, one is the Habeas Corpus Restoration Act and I don't remember the name of the other one. You can look on the ACLU website for more information about it. Of course I, and any other American with sense, don't approve of this! It is up to us to put enough pressure on Congress to fix this snafu before the next election. Threaten not to vote for them on this single thing and hope that they listen. 9/11 was our Reichstadt, although I don't think this one was a government conspiracy like Germany's was. All of us who believe in America must continue to fight in every way possible to prevent the coming dictatorship. If we don't, all is lost.

In a time of an emergency, we cant have all the states and all the politicians giving orders, it has to come from one place. That ONE place has the intel that the others do not.

Uhmmm... You really should read how the government works... Congress crafts the laws and Bush just signs or vetoes them. You clearly either have a 4th grade education or you don't live in the USA...
