A few old rifles were just passed down to me and I'm trying to find out what make, model, etc this one gun is. It has "9724" engraved on it in multiple places, "Mod 98" is engraved on the side, as well as what looks like the Nazi Germany Insignia. My first thought was that it's a Mauser Model 98 or similar, but I'm definitely no gun expert so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have pics on my Flickr: http://flickr.com/photos/12494879@N07/sets/72157602233910251/

I have a friend in the Israel military, and he says that the US army helped during the last war with Lebanon, but that's not fighting on behalf of a country. USA should replace the Israel army, so as to avoid Israel's deaths, as they are doing partially.

He said I was the woman he wanted to be with. Now that he is home he is telling me he needs time before he is with me. I was the one there for him all the way.

People need to stop blaming the fact that he went to war. I used to think that, but all my friends tell me if he really wanted to be with me he would.

I wish I never did anything.....cause now all I have is a broken heart.

He got support, what did I get?

So....why do some of you who go over seas lie just to get what you want?

I am 17 and joining the USCG. When I join, does that release me from parental custody or is it called emancipation? My dad said he would let me join. But if he changed his mind when I already joined is there anything he can do?

Do you get paid (yearly) for being in the military?

Thanks.

Another British army menaced the entire Mississippi Valley and threatened New Orleans, and Andrew Jackson, fresh off his slaughter of the Creek Indians, led a hodgepodge force of 7000 sailors, regulars, pirates, and Frenchmen, entrenching them and helping them defeat 8000 overconfident British that had launched a frontal attack.

Really? The topic is on the table. Blackwater is a big part of the Bush occupation plan. I don't hear much in the way of condemnation from anyone around here; so I figure either indifference or outright support is the name of the game. Come on, if you support what Blackwater has been up to, step up to the plate and swing.

Declare yourself.
