Here's a link to an article on a military blog thanking the Soldiers' Angels and explaining what they do: http://www.blackfive.net/main/2006/12/soldiers_angels.html#more

Soldiers' Angels is a pretty well established organization, but if you still have doubts, you can rest assured -- I have friends in Iraq who have received packages from Soldiers' Angels. They're real :)

You don't know exactly what or how much actually makes it over there. But that can be said about any organization that we donate time or money to. You can always do a little research online into the different ones out there. But the most important thing is that you're giving with the best intentions. And you should feel good about that. As long as it's stemming from a desire to help others, and your donation comes from the heart it can only be a good thing. God bless you for supporting our deployed service members. I can tell you from experience that any small token is greatly appreciated over there. The biggest moral booster is knowing that there are still some Americans that support those serving, regardless of the politics behind why they are over there.

* I just remembered that a soldier in my company was receiving care packages and correspondence from that organization. The name sounded familiar, just took me a bit to remember.
