Sorta. US imperialism traditionally has been distinctive from the imperialism of others. the place imperialism normally has been per self-pastime, American imperialism has traditionally had a reliable ethical, or "do-gooding" tinge that's usually long previous unrecognized and unappreciated. it is likewise the case that we've normally made a hash of issues, and a case could be made for a level of reticence in such involvements. a greater physically powerful subject be counted of dialogue could be the "imperialism" of employer companies, of which US-based businesses have been an energetic section for properly over a century.

Homework? I bet so. The answer is most defintely yes and then some. But that imperialism is more to protect our interests then expand our territory. Look at Iraq and Afghanistan. Once they have stable governments we will leave but that protects our interests.
