When i got out my admin made me turn in my id card saying i couldn't keep it and would not have one as a inactive reserve member, but now i'm hearing i should have a id. I can't seem to get a straight answer from anybody. Any help?

IRR is not entitled to an ID card.

Nope. I served 12 years active. inactive reserves simply means you can be called back if necessary.

The only people that get an I.D. after Active duty are retirees and their dependants and those that are in the Active reserve.

You should have a card indicating your inactive status. it entitles you to absolutely nothing, not even PX priviledges. So what good is it.

Unless you are recalled to active duty, you are not eligable for an ID or access to any military services and benefits.

I was issued one when I got after the first Gulf War. Rules must have changed.

no you don't, why would you need one. inactive time just means that they can call you back whenever they want if needed.
