Having run recruiting for the last 5 years, allow me to answer your question. The current regulation states that a person with an RE-4 code is not only NOT allowed back in, but it also states that NO WAIVERS AUTHORIZED. Now, you may have gotten an honorable discharge but rest assured that anybody out there that you apply to will know that you are not welcomed back. It like quitting in lieu of being fired. You get a good job reference but you are not eligible for rehire.

You can't have an Honorable discharge and a RE-4 reenlistment code. RE-4 Means unsuitable for military service.

They would find out the minute your SSN went into the MEPS Data base.

I wouldn't try it because it's a long walk home from MEPS and your recruiter is not going to be symphetetic to you lying to him/her.

Yes if you want to join again they require to see your DD214. Your honorable discharge and RE4 code don't make sense.

First of all, you don't have a honorable discharge. That's other than honorable discharge. No, I don't think they will let you join and they WILL find out.

The recruiter will need to see your DD 214. The DD Form 214 should have an SPD that indicates you are ineligible for further military service.

You cant reenlist again, you got out on an honorable, but your superiors and your record arent all that great for you obviously so dont try it.
