The only problem is that we have a 2yr old son and no family support. Will the army separate us if we have to go to Iraq? My hubby is now serving and upon his return, we request to be together active full time. I just want to know if anyone has been in this situation with a child with no family support around? What is the real situation gonna be like? Will we really be together? For now I'm an army wife which sucks because I love to work and be around my hubby. Help!! Thanks!!

My friend is color blind. He says he still can see color but he mixes colors up.
(I forget the correct term that the docter said it was.)
But I was talking to him about what I want to do in the future. (We are only 14.)
And I said I wanted to go in the USAF.
Well he said so dose he.
But I was thinking if he is color blind they probley wont let him do the jobs he wants to do.
He said he wanted to be on a special forces team or fly a plane.
But I am thinking they will most likely not let him do that.

So I was wondering.
Can color blind people even go into the USAF.
And if so what kind of jobs can they do?
Will they just sit at a desk all day doing paperwork?

Apparently when i went through MEPS a few weeks ago the fact that my vision coudln't be corrected to 20/20 slipped through the computer system.

I had originally picked to be an AM (aviation Mechanic), but since i have to decide on something new, Ive been looking at some type of logistics possition.

Can anyone tell me if their is a type of job that I could still deal with Aviation and also with Logistics?? Or waht other types of jobs I can do with Logistics. My ASVAB scores were high enough that they told me I could pick almost anything.

thanks

While there was certainly more Bill Clinton could have done and should have done about Osama Bin Laden, Al-Qaeda and terrorism, the Republicans sure as hell weren't very supportive of him for the anti-terror efforts he did make.

In 1998, in retaliation for the bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, Clinton launched Operation Infinite Reach, ordering strikes on Al-Qaeda bases in Afghanistan and Sudan.

In a televised adress, Clinton said "The target is terror." "There will be no sanctuary for terrorists. We will defend our people, our interests, and our values."

What was the Republican response? They accused him of just trying to distract the public from the Lewinsky scandal. Some referenced the movie "Wag the Dog." One of the senators who questioned Clinton's decision was John Ashcroft, who would later become attorney general.

Why did they not support him on this and then later accuse him of not doing enough?

Hi, I just joined the US Army, and am waiting to ship off to OSUT then airborne school (I'm 11B). I'm also going in as an E-3 (schooling).

I was wondering after I'm done with my schools/training, and I get my duty station (assuming I'm not in Iraq/Afghanistan) if she'll be able to live with me on base?

admit fears and be vulnerable, to balance out the 24/7 machismo they need to survive? Would that be a helpful outlet to help prevent so much post traumatic stress disorder?

Think into the future. What possible + and -'s do you see to the idea. They are already talking about having them be autonomous. Should we let independent machines have the ability to take human life? Or should that be the responsibility of another human? It should be a very serious thing right? It seems that robotic soldiers would cheapen the value of human life.

Why is it that americans or anyone belive that a war will happen over night? I do not know why they think this because wars last years, but they still think that. They get all fired up when something like 9/11 happens and say yeah go kill em', but after awhile they decide oh i do not want to like the war anymore it is taking too long. There are people there dying every day and when they look on the news they are not discribed as heroes but as killers trying to steal oil. I have family in the military i have friends and relatives that have been in Iraq, and I know we want them out of harms way but they are doing good over there they are helping a country form. The soldiers in my family and my friends think what they are doing is good so I support them all the way like everyone should. I know we all have our own opions ,but people are dying for something we should welcome them home not spit in their faces and call them killers....that disgusts me.

I can't remember the number of ignorant people in Y/A asking why Bush et. al. haven't been charged with war crimes and quite frankly it's getting old. So heres you're opportunity, please cite the specific war crimes commited, cite the specific law that forbids those supposed crimes and enumerate the list of real witnesses to these supposed crimes. Moveon.org isn't a valid source so don't even waste our time with anything they have to say. As the saying goes, put up or shut up.

As a basis for war, the Bush Administration accuses Iraq of trying to acquire weapons of mass destruction (chemical, biological, nuclear), supporting terrorism, and brutalizing their own people. Since Iraq is not the only country engaged in these actions, under what circumstances should the US go to war with other such nations, in addition to going to war with Iraq?

Yes we did and you DID NOT save us, all you did was give us 7 pilots(one died). If Britain had fallen in the Battle of Britain, Hitler would've then set his sights on America or America would've joined the Nazis. Why? Because do you think that the American armed forces would've been able to hold off the Japanese AND the Nazis in Europe, Not possible. It would've been constant bombings from Japan and then probably a land assault by the Nazis, America would've fallen too. You lot owe us one, big time.
