It's quite a project. When you shave it, take quite a bit off, but take your time. Do both the inside and out. Soak it in water, keeping in mind if the water is hot, it will shrink some. Once soaking wet shape it on your head. Try your best to get it just how you want it. Wear it around for an hour or so while it starts to dry. The next thing I do is put it in the freezer. I know it's weird, but it seems to help it hold shape. I've seen others heat it up in the oven instead. Whatever you do, keep it in that shape as long as you can. You may have to do it a few times, just be patient.

That's one thing I hated about the army was trying to get my damn beret straight.

First you take a razor and shave it all over and get all the fuzz off.

You don't have to cut off the strings in the back, but it makes it a lot easier to wear.

Wet it down, put it on your head and form it the way you want, then leave it on your head for a little while. A half hour should do it.

Place the Beret on you head and start forming it with very little water in your hands, continue this until it is at proper code and let set or dry while still wearing it, watching TV in the evening, etc.

The first thing you have to do is take a shaving razor and shave it. You need to remove all the fuzz. Becareful not to cut a hole in it though.

Then wet it down really good and then form it on your head or on a maniquin head if you have one and let it dry. You may have to do this more then once.
