i dont understand why they make the soldiers attend these things , if the soldier does not want to spend his weekend with his co-workers at a water park or a amusement park, why MAKE them? my husband and i see no point in it and are refusing to attend. we did not join the military to make friends.

I just finished reading about Germany paroling a murderer. Personally, I think the gallows in Kansas would be a good setting for her first and last photo shoot.

Less than 3,000 Americans died in the 9/11 attacks. Since then Bush has sent over 3,700 young Americans to their deaths in Iraq and over 450 young Americans to their deaths in Afghanistan. Since Bush is responsible for more American deaths than Bin Laden who in reality is Americas greatest enemy?

My friend is nearly 80 and he thinks he is entitled to get the general service medal but hasn't a clue how to go about it. He is rather proud and doesn't see why he should have to chase this up. I think he should have the medal he is entitled to. Can anyone tell me how to go about this for him?

My grandfather was one of the designers of this rocket. He worked along side Warner Von-Braun and they were both very good friends. I was trying to see if anyone knows of this rocket and the significance. (extra point if you can tell me what famous rocket was named AFTER the Nike Zeus)

My husband is a disabled Marine Corps Iraq war vet that is 80% disabled occording to the VA. His knees are shot his back has been torn open and sewn back together and he is partially deaf in his left ear. He cant walk long distances and has been asking his doctors for a disabled placard for his car. When he 1st got out of the military the VA issued him temp one even thought he is permanently disabled. His doctors refused to sign the paperwork this time claiming that he is too young to get anything like this.
I couldnt belevie the doctor telling him this and went off on him. Telling him that my husband is not too young to join the military, not too young to fight in war, not too young to get injured in war , BUT HE IS TOO YOUNG TO RECEIVE A DISABLED PLACARD FOR HIS CAR???
We contacted the DAV, VA , our congress woman, and everybody says that without the doctors signature we are just plain S.O.L.
Does anybody have any other suggestions? We have no other health coverage.

I was wondering if my prior diagnosis of having anemia would disqualify me from joining the Air Force???? I was diagnosed two years ago, took iron pills for awhile.... got better..... I take the iron here and there on days when I feel a little wheezy, but I've never had asthma..... never had any sort of medical emergency due to it.....

Anyone ever heard of something like that causing them to be disqualified???
