First, i think of this is an amazing purpose. And all people who can drop a working aim at 550m has my vote. 2d, and it is the undesirable information... women human beings are not taken very extreme centers. To get them in, the militia become compelled to diminish lots of the factors for women human beings... particularly actual standards. as a effect, while it is composed of "getting the job performed," women everybody is form of regarded on as 2d-classification electorate. regularly, women human beings lack the better physique capability that adult males have. So while it is composed of push-ups, pull-ups, hiking ropes, scaling partitions... the adult males are experience that they ought to hold the ladies. thus, I see your daughter's quest being uphill each and each of how. and that i'm undecided she'll make it. no longer inevitably because of the fact she's no longer qualified, yet because of the fact of her gender. would I propose she talk with a recruiter. . discover out what her probability is. i think of it would be outstanding if she could make it. yet, interior the absence of respected confirmation to the different, i might say that is safer to be pessimistic. Edit... ok... pay attention to the female Marine. She's been there.

the army does not allow women to earn the B4 skills id which indicates that a solider has completed the 5 week course in benning to become a sniper, i went threw in 01 the closest a woman can get to any type of combat role in any us service is a pilot however in Iraq i have seen postal clerks maning 50 cal ma deuce guns on humvies. so its all a matter of debate of the role of women in combat. but they are not allowed to apply for any type of combat school such as ranger sapper sniper or sf.

The answer would be no.She would not be afforded the opportunity to go to sniper school. With the slight possibility that she could provide high cover for a Military Police unit. But the chances of that are slim at best.

the only way she can become a sniper,, is to become an MP, and get on what is called an SRT team( Special reaction team) basically it is a swat team in the military,, they have there own snipers and is open to females.this the only way she would be able to become a sniper,, there is no guaranty that she will get to the school or even on a team,, but if she is willing to try and push for it,, i have seen people get it that way,, and the MP companies love motivated people to try out.

No. Sniper is a direct combat arms position. Federal law prohibits assignment of female military personnel to direct combat arms positions. Don't blame the services. Take it up with the 535 Members of the House and Senate.

She can sure try! If she is good enough, maybe she will make it. Unfortunately, that kind of area of the military would be rather male oriented and maybe less likely to accept a female but if she is good and passes the test , she has as much right to do that as they do. I wish her luck, but it will be hard!

She could try enlisting in another country. Canada allows women in combat roles although I don't know the citizenship requirements.

Last I heard, the US still wasn't putting women in units that are directly involved in combat.
Tell her to wait till after she finishes college and maybe the next president will have instituted changes in who can do what in the military.
