I was wondering if my prior diagnosis of having anemia would disqualify me from joining the Air Force???? I was diagnosed two years ago, took iron pills for awhile.... got better..... I take the iron here and there on days when I feel a little wheezy, but I've never had asthma..... never had any sort of medical emergency due to it.....

Anyone ever heard of something like that causing them to be disqualified???

No, but I bet a lot of people will want to find out how they can get anemia if it does get them out of the military :)

You say it has been corrected. What is your current hemglobin count? If it is lower than 12, it's disqualifying.
