My husband received assignment somewhere else and so we had to break our lease early, and the apartment / rental company that leases the property said they needed to have a copy of my husband's orders and that he could not just show them to the management.

Is this legal?

Currently we ride on the back of a mining export boom mostly to China, this has given Australia vast economic strength, at the risk of what ? Is it to risky to export minerals or iron ore to foreign places like China ? Certainly banned with North Korea, but shouldn't trade sanctions exist so that our exports can't be returned in the form of Artillery, bullrts or bombs ?

I personally think current US politicos could learn so much from him, he sought to understand the people he was dealing with, doesn't seem to be much evidence of that now.

or is anyone else sick of seeing wives and girlfriends complaining that thier spouse/boyfriend is in Iraq? My husband is on his 6th tour and honestly it doesn't even bother me anymore. I can't stand seeing people complaining about something they knew they were getting into when they married a military member. All the "I can't live without him" whining. Is it just me?

My father was in the AF and retired as an E-9. He was OSI and was undercover for a good portion of his career. My husband is now in the AF and as a crew Chief he is gone constantly. We have a great marriage and a beautiful son. My husband has never been home for one of his birthdays and has been home for one Christmas. He lovs his job and I support him totally! He has done one 12 month tour and is now on 6th 4 month tour, all of which he VOLUNTEERED for.

I am really considering the navy, but also want to continue going to college (so that I might be able to go into the officer program later). I am wondering if a person in the navy will be able to also do college while they are in.

How do you feel about Iraq being split into separate Kurdish, Sunni and Shiite states? I think it would stop alot of the violence and let these people have their own sovereign nations. Your thoughts?...

I was wondering if it is possible to switch branches if you havn't fulfilled your contract. I have heard that there is a way to get out of your contract if you havn't reached the 6 month mark. Does anybody know if this is true?

The media report every unsubstantiated allegation of a US Soldier's crimes and fail to retract them when proven false.

Today, the US military is helping to recover the bodies of women and children killed by Al-Qaeda in Diyala Province, and then buried in a mass grave.

I have added the press release to my blog and it remains on the RSS feed. Surely every reporter in Iraq as well as every news service in the world watches the CentCom press release feed. Why do they say nothing about the innocent civilians killed by AQ in Iraq?

To help in answering that question for those that care about our troops and the truth about the war, I've added an RSS feed from CentCom that gives the lastest press releases out of both fronts.

No politics. Just the groundtruth from a combat veteran that has been to both fronts in the War on Terror. National Security transcends party lines.

A guy who gives up millions of dollars to serve his country is trully a real hero. But.. was Tillman killed by his own soldiers? Was it accidental? Was it friendly fire or did Tillman actually do the job of a hero?
Or ... Was the Silver Star awarded because the White House was looking for a “Hero for the Day”?
The punishment of an Army General does very little to take away the appearance of a cover up in the death of Pat Tillman. But the key question is: does the trail lead to the White House?

I have a friend who says that tried to donate blood once and was told she couldn't. She said that it was because she was born in another country (Germany) and her dad was in the military during 1987. Does this make any sense? Why wouldn't she be able to donate blood?
