Dude if you are asking this question then I would say that you should join neither. You haven’t made up you mind yet. Being either an Army Ranger or a Navy SEALs takes a strong, determine heart more than being physically strong. You have to want that Ranger scroll and tab, or the SEAL Trident with all your heart, and then some. You, make up you mind on your own and I hope that you make it. Good Luck.

It depends on whether you like the air or the water best. That is something only you can decide. If you're talking about the glory, both are equal. I used to work for the Army as a civilian and my boyfriend was in the Navy. Either one can difficult and/or great. It's what you make of it. Neither one will translate into much after you get out. But underwater welding in the Navy can translate into big bucks after you get out.

Thats such a personal decision...
Personally, I like the Air Force over the Army or Navy, but that's just me...
Being an Airborne Ranger would be very cool...
Being a Navy Seal would also be very cool...
Some quotes I found about the different types of services... replace the **** with the s*** word...
An Army grunt stands in the rain with a 35 lb. pack on his back, 15 lb. weapon in hand, after having marched 12 miles, and says, "This is ****."
An Army Airborne Ranger stands in the rain with a 45 lb. pack on his back, weapon in hand, after having jumped from an airplane and marched 18 miles, and says with a smile, "This is good ****!"
A Navy Seal lies in the mud, 55 lb pack on his back, weapon in hand, after swimming 10 miles to shore, crawling through a swamp and marching 25 miles at night past the enemy positions, says with a grin, "This really is great ****."
A Marine, up to his nose in the stinking, bug-infested mud of a swamp with a 65 lb pack on his back and a weapon in both hands after jumping from an aircraft at high altitude, into the ocean, swimming 12 miles to the shore, killing several alligators to enter the swamp, then crawling 30 miles through the brush to assault an enemy camp, says, "I love this ****!"
An Air Force officer sits in an easy chair in his air conditioned, carpeted BOQ room, surfing the net, flips on the TV to static and says, "The cable's out? What kind of **** is this?"

Well I will admit to a certain amount of bias but I think Army is the way to go. There are a lot more ranger slots than seal teams.

Well it is always good to shoot high, I guess really when it comes down to it, it just depends on how well you can swim. In naval bootcamp if you so much as have bad form even for a second you will be disqualified from advanced swim qualifications, either way the extra training for these require insane endurance and you should be VERY prepared before you get to RTC or boot camp.
