I want to get back in because I went through tech school and basic training and finished my CDCs. I dont want that to go to waste. I dont want to go through the constant job changes everytime my wife changes bases. Then if we go over seas where am I gonna go to work or school in Germany or Japan??? I would to the reserves or guard too. Somebody please help!!!!!

If you left under honorable conditions you can request a change in your RE code this is usually done through petitioning your federal and local government and it's not as hard as one might think. You might be required to face a mediation board hearing by cheif staff I think by 05's and above. If you want it bad enough you can go through the right channels and fix it. Its not impossible to get even an RE-4 code changed and I have heard of it happening.

At this time, is really wouldn't matter if your RE Code was -1 and you were honorably discharged.

You still wouldn't be allowed back in the AF.

In 2007, the Air Force only allowed 47 prior service servicemen to enlist in the AF.

That includes, prior AF, Navy, Army, marines, national guard and reservist.

Most don't realise, National Guard and reservist are considered prior service.

The prior service members the AF is looking for are in very specific fields:

Linguist and Special Forces.

Pretty much not going to happen. The Air Force is not running a prior service program and the RE code would invalidate it anyway. Possibly the reserves would let you back in, but not active duty.

ok, what you like are "possibilities". think of if I offered you some thing like a sparkling laptop for doing a similar element. As you circulate for the time of this methodology, you start to think of approximately different techniques you may get it, and how quickly it's going to be out of date, and no remember in case you relatively need one interior the 1st place. ultimately, the payoff isn't super sufficient. Now, your envisioned payoff is super sufficient to get you by way of, yet what your problem may be is not any remember if or no longer it is "particular" sufficient. "college" would be a splash imprecise. Why do you opt to circulate to college? What possibilities do you relatively need? become a criminal professional? scientific professional? Accountant? you would be extra in all likelihood to maintain the point of motivation you will could see you by way of in case you have been very particular. See, what you are going to do in problem-unfastened is "pay the value" for some thing. The extra you be conscious of approximately what that some thing is, the less the yelling and dealing and all that concerns. Making it by way of problem-unfastened is ninety 9% a remember of bobbing up the alternative to make it, each and daily.

With those codes, it is highly unlikely that the AF would allow you to enlist again. Another branch of the service might, but then you'd be subject to orders separating you from your spouse. The AF isn't struggling to get recruits that meet standards, so it isn't in a position of needing to grant those kinds of waivers to meet goals.

AF won't take you, not with those codes.

The National Guard MIGHT consider a waiver.
