we kick everyone anyway and noone kicks back? Or maybe it is there human genome project. Do they do that there? Do they train humans from birth to be super soldiers?

They test new planes there and they don't want anyone to film them and see what their capabilities are before using them in combat or whatever. So they make the base off limits and the planes safe. No big deal.

g-day!

There's a lot of things the government has to keep secret, in the interests of national security--something that civilians, for some inexplicable reason, cannot comprehend. National security means keeping this country, and its tinfoil-hat-clad citizens, safe from dangers they aren't always aware of. What makes it even funnier is that many of these same people think their biggest enemy is their own government; there are countries out there that would imprison, exploit, or kill an American in a heartbeat, and groups of people who would like to do far worse; but some Americans are convinced the U.S. government is worse. Go figure. Of course, these same people are completely unaware of what the real world is like, outside of the protection of U.S. territory, and no amount of convincing from other people who have been to those places seems to get through their skulls.

Area 51 is little more than a small Air Force base in Nevada, used for testing new, secret designs, which could be used against us if in the wrong hands. Intelligence is an aggressive business, and other countries are doing everything they can to find out our secrets without bone-headed conspiracy theorists mucking it up even worse.

We do high level top-secret research and development of aircraft at Groom Lake (aka Area 51). It's secret for a reason. Not everything can be made public. If I asked you for your computer password and the numbers for your bank accounts and credit cards, would you think that was a reasonable request? Of course not. Same thing with military secrets.

There is a good reason for it's secrecy. I've been by there. It's a desolate place, near Rachel, Nevada. We have a lot of top military projects going on. Wouldn't want the enemy to get there hands on it. It would put our country and our soldiers in more danger than they already face.

The reason why noone kicks back is because the area is classified. If it were open to anyone, then you would see other countries flying around with Stealth technology and who knows what else they would get their hands on.
