I only recently found out about this PDA...yes well so my age is showing...at any rate i would like to buy one of these as a birthday gift for my hubby/Sailor for when he is overseas for a way of us communicating. I would like it to have a cam/cell use/service, (obivously it would need to have worldwide access),internet access for checking mail, i.m.'s & possibly surfing the web. Please can you direct me to one that is the best all around for service and price. Also can i get one for less if i get a service contract with it? I have seen some newer ones for upwards of $650.00. What can you tell me about this. Is it true if i get him this will we be able to communicate while he is overseas? Plz help..best, clear and concise answer i will love u,(not as much as him), and 10pts.

my question is i am returning from iraq in a few months and then i will be sent to a new unit back in the states because my overseas tour is going to end, once i am in a new unit i will have roughly less than a year before i completely get out of the army. i know i can extend my overseas tour, but to me that isnt an option. how do i go about this and finish my contract without being sent back to iraq for a second time in a three year contract.

Read the link and feel free to shake your head and roll your eyes in furthered disgust and contempt for this Incompetent Chickenhawk Resident in Chief and his Cronies.

Obviously, the message sent to the Pentagon to TAKE CARE OF OUR VETS wasn't clear enough. In their scramble to find more soldiers, which of course they'll never admit to, army doctors, at someone in the Administration's request, have allegedly revamped the medical exams of soldiers unfit for duty to fit for service without an actual re-examination taking place. Despite the inability to continue serving in their trained capacity, the soldiers are being sent back. They aren't even being trained to do a job that would compensate for their disablility!!

It's bad enough that we have to catch up with the illegal activities of this Administration from the past six years. Now we need to investigate them on the fly!!

My boyfriend was arrested last night (St. Patrick's Day) for disorderly conduct. Big deal, but not the end of the world. Except that he is in the military. Can someone please help me understand what the procedure for him is from here? And what is the difference between this and public drunkeness? Is this charge serious enough to be kicked out the military?

say that you are in a relationship and you both decide to join the army are you still able to have that relationship? or is that not allowed because it's fratinzation? if relationships are not allowed how do they allow soilders to get married without having a relationship first? my bf is in basic right now and was told by his drill saregent that people that are in basic are not allowed to write other people in basic because its fratinzation, he said that mail from one unit is not allowed at another. he also said that you cannot write either once you get to AIT. is this true?

OIL IS RUNNING OUT FAST. SOON IT WILL BE GONE. Iraq has the last major fields left. All the other major oil fields have peaked and are now in decline. Without oil , the world (Especially the USA) starves. This is being kept out of the media to prevent panic. WW3 is now here.

30,000 children die in the 3rd world every single day - 10 times the number of also innocent people who died in 9/11.. Why is this never mentioned?

Those children deserve to live as much as the unfortunate casualties on that day. I just wondered if we in the west make a sub-conscious choice to favour the value of a western life of that of a poor African child or if there is some other reason.

All of the deaths are untimely and sad - yet every time I see another 9/11 reference it does stick with me that another 30,000 children died that day without mention.

Just turned 28 yrs old. Have a BA from a very large midwestern state school. While I have done some post-grad work, I have not yet completed an advanced degree. Have some skill with far-east languages. Currently an office peon/accountant. Single, no kids.

Wanted to join the military 5 yrs ago, but my plans were interrupted by personal problems. Would prefer not to get into details. Suffice it to say they are now resolved & would not affect my ability to serve.

I am civic minded & already volunteer for city gov't. Would like to take on something more ambitious. Military service seems the natural way to go. But can I even serve in the military? Is age a problem? If no, what is the best way to serve?

Dad & late grandpa (via grandma) have conveyed fondness for Navy. This in spite of the fact that dad was a Sea Bee during Vietnam while grandpa served in the Pacific at the height of WW2. Would like to follow them to the Navy.

Would love to hear from people serving. Thanks in advance!

in the recent Yahoo AP news story:
7 more American troops killed in Iraq
By LAUREN FRAYER, Associated Press Writer.
Just how many soldiers was she talking about? a troop is a group (2 or more individuals) of persons. the "troops" refered to were all killed in 1 tank so I asume they were all of the same service division. were these 7 soldiers or 7 troops? Just curious.
