OIL IS RUNNING OUT FAST. SOON IT WILL BE GONE. Iraq has the last major fields left. All the other major oil fields have peaked and are now in decline. Without oil , the world (Especially the USA) starves. This is being kept out of the media to prevent panic. WW3 is now here.

The answer to your question is YES! Some do, but like you say and for the same reasons, most are kept in the dark.
There was a film - "Three days of the Condor" about it, a full 35 years ago. But the real problem, friend, is not that the world is running out of oil, (It IS!) nor is it that the good ole U S of A is neither allowed to, nor capable of grabbin it all before the other "inferior" or "less deserving" people of the world get any. (It's NOT!) The problem is that people still WANT to grab it, even though the knowledge that we'd eventually arrive at this place, is 35 to 50 years old. Why should "especially" the US starve. Maybe cause they've been the most reluctant to make changes to get 'em off their oil-glut-addiction. I personally think that when push really comes to shove, and it will SOON, the oil guys will be much more apt to trade for manufatured goods from China, that they will for some more worthless paper dollars. They've got eough of those already! Also the US has a very short memory. If you'd been alive in 1973, you'd have seen the lines at the pump. Because OPEC put the squeeze on. This was when America had many more friends in the Muslim and Arab world than they do now. Need I say more. Well I will let you in on the little yet UN-published poem I wrote just after I read that many of Americas OWN oil fields in the Mexican Gulf had to be shut down for the second year running after Katrina Hit a few derricks, indeed rolled one underwater pipeline 800 meters..

Yes, And nothing we do in Iraq will stop what's going to happen when the king's from the east (Russia & China) make an attempt to invade our Nation. In fact, If you've been paying attention to these two countries in the news lately, You've noticed they're jockeying into position right now. They're catalist: The west's presence in the middle-east coupled with our enormous debt to china.
There are documents somewhere that prove peak-oil is a fraud, There are some scientists that believe the earth produces oil in abundance. If we had allowed the technology we used in the apollo missions to go to the public sector, We would'nt even need oil right now.
The bottom line is: Oil is power, Money & control over the population.

If it's being kept out of the media, then how did you find out, I wonder? Some high ranking government official just decided to disclose this super-secret information to you?
And if it WERE being kept from the public to avoid a panic, then why the hell would you tell people? Do YOU want to start a panic?
Give me a break, you have no idea what our oil situation is.

Canada has large amounts of oil still left largely untaped, rumored to be as big as the Saudis.
A new oil field was discovered in the Gulf of Mexico too but i don't know where or when work will begin.

Maybe you should stop worrying about OIL which is a non-renewable resource, so we will finally run out of it even if another country still has some now; and we should begin worrying about finding and creating new renewable sources such as biodiesel, wind energy and solar energy.
Think green and stop worrying about the inevitable!

FYI - We get most of our oil from Venezuela..
We can get other energy resources beside oil, you know. USA will never starve because of that.

I think about 10-12 years ago we did not have enough trees either and we made EARTH DAY, we have been dealing with this for how long, there is nothing we can do so why the hell stress over it now, also watch out for aids, bird flu, peter pan he is making us sick....
