What kind of tanks interest you?
By 1940, America had just old leftover WWI tanks.

By 1942-43 the M- 4 came into existence. There were four types of M- 4:
the A1 had a Wright 9-cylander radial Engine
the A2 had a GM diesel
the A3 had a 500 Horsepower Ford V8
the A4 had a five-bank Chrysler engine

The hulls on the M-4 were of two types: cast or plated.

They all had a seventy-five millimeter turret-mounted cannon and two thirty caliber machine guns, one was co-axial mounted with the main gun and the other was mounted low on the right side forward for the assistant driver.. The tanks also had a fifty caliber machine gun mounted on the turret for the tank commander.

The M-4 was a good tank but not as good as the German tanks they had to fight.

Defense Link has photos from WWII and even a few from WWI. Its the best place to go for military photos because they are all taken by military photojournalists and combat camera. This is where we are supposed to file all of our photos.
