since openly gay people can't join the military now if they tried, would they be exempt from the draft?
would some people pretend they were gay rather than flee to canada if they wanted to avoid being drafted?

If commercial companies are not allowed to discriminate according to sexual preference, why should the military? I think that would be hypocritical of our government to do so.
I think a draft would draft anyone into the army that was physically fit to go into the army, regardless of sexual preference.

No, the military has a strict "don't ask, don't tell" policy. The question would never get asked. There is S.A.M., though. Statements, Acts, Marriages. If proof of one of these three things come up, then eligiblity is none.

No, Openly Gay people should still be drafted, but be limited to menial tasks, like cleaning up the latrines, etc.

Yes it would......During the 60s it was a way for Cowards to avoid being drafted.....they would claim to be Queer....didn't always work.
It would be a good way for the Cowardly Liberals to avoid service....

Hopefully they are exempt, which I am sure they would be.
Oh and liberal cowards would probably pretend to be gay, because a) they dont mind gay people, and b) they are cowards!.
