the terrorists are winning because Bush is doing things to help them get more members and hurting people who fight terrorism
Bush is also killing our freedoms which means the terrorists win

The terrorists are.
Not because of the fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan, Nor the conflicts and acts of terror elsewhere.
But because America, and other countries, are terrified. All sense of proportion has been lost, and a one-in-a-million minority has been allowed to set the agenda.
Terrorism is a real problem. Like other problems (like rats) the appropriate people should be assigned to it and little more attention paid to it.
The attention, the publicity, the TV coverage just encourages it. Terrorism news should be given locally, county by county, after the local sport and weather. "And here's the terrorism news for our county... there isn't any."
Why do monkeys at the zoo fling sh*t?
Because it gets a reaction.
9/11: a criminal outrage. Appropriate action needed to be taken.
The casualty list? (this isn't going to be popular)
What Americans do to each other on the roads every month.
File terrorism somewhere below the fear you should have about cars and driving.
You're not scared of that? Good.
(I've done my time with bombs and terror: heard four, felt one, plus another close miss).

There is no winning or losing in war until the war is over. It's not like anyone keeps score.

The more our troops do what they're doing out there, the more terrorists are recruited. That's a simple, sad fact that was obvious to anyone not blinded by the arrogance and fear that led us to attack Iraq in the first place.
True, it's too late now, but how long DO you keep making a problem of your own making worse? When do you admit that the kind of help you were trying to offer is not in fact help at all, and it would be better for all involved if you just quit trying to offer it?

No one is. Our government is fighting in Iraq for oil rights and the terrorists couldn't do much more than kill a handful of people in front of cameras while not making much progress. Under those conditions, no one can win.

This war has only served to create more terrorist. There's no winning, it's just a matter of who's going to run out of soldiers first, unless Bush wises up & brings our troops home.

Everybody loses at war. Some just lose more. I share your concern for our military forces put in harm's way. When their service is complete let's not forget the debt owed to them.

well i guess the arms industry is nicely flourishing. its hard to say who's winning, but we are trying and that matters the most. this administration seems to have bad organizational skills though, and thats a major setback. i think we are in a gridlock, its just wait and watch to see who gives the bigger blow.

The terrorists, there are about 15-16 countries which either supported or harbored terrorists, Iraq was not one of these countries.
